Beautiful Backgrounds Cards with Joy
Hello crafty friends, I love a good background stamp! I’m going to show you three cards using three different background stamps from the Stampendous Beautiful Backgrounds. I used three different techniques with these awesome stamps.
For my first card, I used the Leafy Lines background stamp, it has a pull-away piece that I used for this card design. On a piece of watercolor paper I hot-foiled the background with the Diagonal Glimmer Stripes (discontinued) and Aura foil. I stamped the corners with the Leafy Lines pull-away stamp piece. I colored the leaves with multiple colors using Karin Watercolor Markers. I added a few splatters with the Karin Markers and added the hot-foiled sentiment from the Making Me Smile Sentiments. I finished the card with gold sequins.
On the second card, I did an emboss resist technique with the Floral Gardens Background stamp. I stamped it on watercolor paper with clear embossing ink and sprinkled on white embossing powder. I heated it until it was melted. Using the Karin Markers, I added a blue and teal wash over the background, which revealed the Floral Gardens stamped image. I die cut the flowers from the Four Petal Thank You Floral Dies and colored them with the Karin Markers. I finished the card with the foiled sentiment and sequins.
The final card spotlights some of the stamped image from the Agapanthus Background stamp. I stamped it on watercolor paper and gold heat embossed the image. I trimmed down the panel and then used the Karin Markers to color some of the images and gave the background a light blue wash of color. I added some detail with strips of Gold Mirror cardstock and strips of embossed paper using the Tile Reflection 3D Embossing Folder. I finished with the foiled sentiment and sequins.
