Seasonal Cards Featuring the All Seasons Collection
Hello, crafty friends! This is Emily Leiphart and I’m thrilled to be back on the Spellbinders blog, featuring All Seasons Collection. At first look, this collection may appear to be for scrapbooking enthusiasts but I’m here to show you how easily they can be used for card making. For those of you who use traveler’s notebooks for journalling and memory keeping will notice that this format is great for inserting into one of the traveler’s notebook pages.
I decided to make not just three but four mini slimline cards to showcase one for each season to feature the Four Seasons dies. I had so many ideas in my head so I’m only getting started on these products. Plus, all of the secondary sentiments for the BetterPress are so fun and versatile!
You can see that I used the same color palette for all of my cards, choosing lighter bases for the spring and summer cards, and darker bases for the autumn and winter cards. I made sure to use different proportions of the other colors on each card, plus additional silver foil and silver glitter accents, whether via cardstock or foiling.
For the spring card, I paired the Four Seasons Dies, All Seasons Spring Press Plate & Die Set, Gnome Drive Spring Dies, and Color Block Scenic Scape Dies. Both spring word die features the shadow with a layer of vellum and the secondary sentiment is letterpressed on cotton cardstock with coordinating ink.
My second card features the Four Seasons Dies, All Seasons Summer Press Plate & Die Set, and the Stitched Ice Cream Stitching Die. I used coordinating floss from the DMC Color Essentials Floss Warm Bundle for the cone and left the stacked ice cream plain. This time, I used Pewter Hot Foil for the secondary sentiment.
For an extra fit of detail, I added some silver foil and silver glitter layers to the edges of the ice cream scoops. I also used the 1/2” part of my corner chomper to add a bit of detail on the bottom left of the card to balance out the empty space.
I just love these fun, happy seasonal cards and can’t wait to make more or even use these ideas to work on my travel journalling!
I made this autumn card first because I couldn’t wait to use the Autumn Sealed Sprigs with this colour palette. I thought this was going to be my favourite card of the set but as I continued to make the other cards, I ended up loving them all equally. I paired this die set with the Four Seasons Dies, All Seasons Autumn Press Plate & Die Set.
I absolutely love how all those die-cut layers look and I secured them to the card base with silver and striped washi tape from my stash. Again, the shadow of the big word die was cut from blue vellum which I had in my stash. You can easily use ink to blend a coordinating shade to regular vellum. The secondary sentiment was heat-foiled with Matte Silver Hot Foil.
Who doesn’t love holiday cards? Every year, I tell myself that I need to start on my Christmas cards earlier so here we are! I have at least one more to add to my stash. Well, that’s if I don’t use this for my traveler’s notebook journals. It was also hard for me to choose a sentiment for this card because there are so many great ones to choose from in the All Seasons Winter Press Plate & Die Set, too.
To create the hills, I used the Color Block Scenic Scape Dies and I love how it turned out. It looks like the Gnome Drive Holiday Santa is catching air in his cute little car! LOL Just like the summer card, this sentiment was foiled using Pewter Hot Foil.
Here’s another look at the autumn and winter cards together. I couldn’t pick a single favorite from these four cards but if I had to pick a pair, it would be summer and autumn since they’re my favoured seasons right now. I also have an autumn birthday so I love autumn and all the colours that come with it. What’s your favorite from this bunch?
I hope you find plenty of inspiration from this set of cards featuring all of these products from the All Seasons Collection! All of the coordinating products in this release are a fun and easy way to create multiple year-round cards at the same time.
Thanks so much for stopping by today! You can find more inspiration on my blog, Instagram, and YouTube channel.
