Magic and Happiness All Around
Hi, Friends! I am Andrea Lake and I love recording memories in creative ways. I enjoy making colorful mini albums and scrapbook layouts adding a lot of texture and dimension. I also love flowers and I believe everything is better when you add a little bit of pixie dust. I had the best time working with some of the metal dies from the Storytelling collection by Spellbinders.
One of my favorite products from Spellbinders are their stitching dies. They are great for adding dimension and texture to any project. I played with the Stitched Petal Bloom Die to create the focal embellishment of my page. I selected neutral patterned papers for my background, placed my petals centered on the page, and built the rest of the layout from that. I used the Be Bold Blooms die set to create clusters on each side of my photo. The title was created with the Happiness metal die and I created my journaling spot using the Basic Borders metal dies and some of the Essential Cardstock.
My second layout is all about color, layers and magic. Simply perfect to record details of a fun creative day in my favorite place. I decided to showcase the Dancin’ Fairy Twinkle metal die set and put together a couple of fairies flying around a very colorful background. Once again, I used the Essential Cardstock and the Basic Borders metal dies to put it together. This adds so much interest to the page and it was super fun to create. I used the Magic title die. I will be sharing a Reel showing you how this layout came together. It’s definitely a must-try background to create.

I am really happy with how these layouts turned out. I sometimes tend to only incorporate embellishments from scrapbook collections, but working on these projects reminded me of the endless possibilities a metal die set offers you. You can create so many different projects by only changing the papers and other materials you use. Make sure to visit the Spellbinders Blog for more inspiration.
