Dimensional Flowers with Clean and Simple Backgrounds

Winter’s Grace Garden Collection by Susan Tierney-Cockburn. In addition to her usual dimensional flowers, there’s also a beautiful 3D embossing folder that’s worthy of its own card.

The background embossed with the Norwegian Rosemaling 3D Embossing Folder was cut to 4 x 5 1/4” and adhered to a second panel cut from the largest Perfect Touch Rectangles and Tag Etched Dies. These flowers are the Cymbidium Orchid and Ladybugs Etched Dies cut from Susan’s Garden Specialty Cardstock and colored with alcohol markers. I added a sentiment from All Seasons Spring Press Plate and Die Set.

This card also uses the Norwegian Rosemaling 3D Embossing Folder but this time I offset the largest Emerald Cut Labels and Tag Etched Dies popped up with foam tape. I used the Black Alder Etched Dies for this card cut from Susan’s Garden Specialty Cardstock. The berries are from liquid enamel drops. This is the first time I’ve used this cardstock and I was very impressed. It’s lighter weight than I normally use but held up beautifully to shaping. I used the All Seasons Summer Press Plate and Die Set for the sentiment.

This card features the Paperwhites and Glass Vase Etched Dies, with the vase was cut from vellum. I used the All Wrapped Up 3D Embossing Folder for the background tilted at an angle. The sentiment comes from All Seasons Spring Press Plate and Die Set.

I find Susan’s Garden Ultimate Tool Kit to be a necessity when shaping and assembling these flowers. I used Susan’s Garden Flower Mold Tray for the first time with these cards. It’s a great help to keep the flower shape while the glue dries.
