Cardmaking,  Die Cutting

Trio Cards Featuring the Winter’s Grace Garden Collection

Hello Crafty Friends, Heejung Hunsberger here! I’m thrilled to be returning as a guest designer for Spellbinders this month again! If you’d like to get to know me better, visit my blog or follow me on Instagram. Additionally, I have a YouTube channel where I regularly post video tutorials.

Today, I’m sharing three cards featuring the Winter’s Grace Garden Collection by Susan Tierney-Cockburn. I have always loved her collection, and this new collection is also impressive.

Card for Sending Prayers

First, I embossed Arches & Dots Embossing Folder onto the lunar gray cardstock to create a wallpaper pattern. I used wood-patterned paper for the tabletop.

After creating the background, I die-cut the flower base from a vellum sheet and used a blending brush to color the bottom half light blue.

I die-cut the paperwhite Daffodils from white cardstock and colored them with markers.

When I attached the flower vase to the card, I applied a small amount of glue to the side and bottom to prevent the glue from being visible through the vellum.

Additionally, I gold hot foiled with Curved Everyday Sentiments Glimmer Plate and die-cut it with a coordinating die.

Thinking of You Card

First, I embossed the cardstock with the Norwegian Rosemaling 3D embossing folder to create a background.

I die-cut the plant pot from the Azalea and Garden pot die and colored it with Distress Oxide ink.

I die-cut the cyclamen from white cardstock, then colored each leaf with green markers and the flowers with pink. Additionally, I hot-foiled the sentiment from the Everyday sentiment on black cardstock and die-cut it. While coloring the leaves, I used dark green and light green, creating a light green band pattern in the leaf.

I created a pink candy stripe pattern using the Candy Stripes Press Plate from the Dancin’ Christmas Friends Collection.

Next, I die-cut the Withered Viburnum and colored them with markers.

I used the Mini Christmas Sentiments Strips Glimmer Hot Foil Plate for the sentiments. I finished the card with gold gems.
