
Dimensional Florals with Ease
Hi Spellbinders fans. Alanna Moses from EmbellishCraftLove.com and I am very excited to be guesting on the Spellbinders blog today. I have the honor of sharing the Winter’s Grace Garden collection from Susan Tierney-Cockburn and Spellbinders. Susan’s floral sets are always so beautiful. There are five die sets and one 3D embossing folder in this collection. They can be purchased separately or in a bundle at a discount.
HELLO SWEET FRIEND
- Emboss white cardstock with Norwegian Rosemaling 3D Embossing Folder and add Wonderland Distress Mica Stain
- With foam squares, add to an A2 notecard made from Spellbinders Waterfall cardstock
- Die cut vase from Paperwhites and Glass Vase die set and add blend light blue ink over it, concentrating heaviest on the sides
- From the Black Alder die set, die cut leaves and berries from white cardstock, adding in green and red inks. Further, enhance with coordinating OLO markers
- Pinch leaves together with fingers to create dimension
- Adhere florals through opening of vase and adhere to embossed background
- Add sentiment from Always and Forever Sentiment Strips Press Plate & Die Set and finish off with Capri Color Essential gems
YOU BRIGHTEN MY DAY
- Emboss Cosmic Sky cardstock with Norwegian Rosemaling 3D Embossing Folder and add to white A2 notecard
- Die cut florals from Withered Viburnum die set with light green cardstock
- Add shading with green and red inks to leaves and then pinch leaves to create dimension
- Die cut berries from Withered Viburnum die set with Cosmic Sky cardstock
- Add glossy accents to berries and let dry
- Arrange florals and berries onto an embossed background
- Add sentiment from Always and Forever Sentiment Strips Press Plate & Die Set
HELLO FROM ALL OF US
- Die cut white cardstock using largest die from Nestabilities Label Eight die set
- Add Cracked Pistachio Distress Oxide ink to inside of Norwegian Rosemaling 3D Embossing Folder and emboss with die cut panel. Repeat process three times to build up the ink depth
- From the Silver Assortment Treasured cardstock, trim down a panel and add to white A2 notecard
- Adhere embossed background to notecard
- Die cut sentiment from the Hello Smile die set and add to card
- Add in sub sentiment from the Always and Forever Sentiment Strips Press Plate & Die Set
- Add Fashion Oyster Color Essentials Pearl Dots to card

While the work is beautiful, and the directions wonderful, makers consistently leave out the paper weight used for the project. Using the wrong paper can completely destroy the finished look and make all the work disappointing and frustrating.
