Gift Card Holder Card Trio
Hello Crafty Friends, Heejung Hunsberger here! I’m thrilled to be returning as a guest designer for Spellbinders this month again! If you’d like to get to know me better, visit my blog or follow me on Instagram. Additionally, I have a YouTube channel where I regularly post video tutorials.
Today, I’m sharing three different occasion gift card holder cards featuring the Not your ordinary cards collection by Wendy Vecchi.
Birthday Gift Card Holder Card
I always enjoy creating unique greeting cards and love pairing them with my collection to achieve the perfect look. On this card, I used the Butterfly die from the Delicate Butterflies Die set.
I was absolutely thrilled to craft a gift card holder using the Essential Envelope Die set from the collection. You can use it as just an envelope, and I believe the size is perfect for holding any gift cards.
First, I die-cut the Teal Topaz card stock with the Stitched Starfilled Background die to create the background. Then, I used the essential envelope die on the Teal Topaz card stock to make a gift card holder.
I die-cut the flowers and leaves from the essential envelope die set on white cardstock, as well as beeswax and Lagoon colored cardstock. I lightly colored the center of the flowers with a yellow blending brush.
Then, I attached the flowers and leaves to the envelope’s surface. For the sentiments, I used white hot foiling on black cardstock with the Curved Everyday Sentiments Glimmer Plate & Die.
When pulling out the Butterfly, you can see the insert part of the gift card holder. I cut white card stock at 3 ¼ x 3 ¾ inches for the insert.
I used the Delicate Butterflies Die set to cut out two sets of butterflies. One set is flat, while the other is folded in half and partially glued in the center of the flat butterfly.
I die-cut a half circle on both sides of the white insert panel to hold the gift card. Additionally, I die-cut the Pinking Edges Birthday Die on Beeswax card stock and then attached it to the front of the insert. You can insert the gift card in the back of the insert panel.
Christmas Gift Card Holder Card
I created this one for dog lovers. I really love Bibi’s Big Pug die, so I decided to use it with the Christmas add-on die from the collection.
First, I cut the one-pattern paper from the handmade Holidays Paper pad on 4 ¼ x 5 ½ inches.
Then, please attach it to the card base. The final card size is A2.
I die-cut the pug on portobello card stock and cut the body part to fit into the envelop ( 3 ¼ X 3 ¾ inches)
I used the sentiments from the Christmas Add-on Stamp & Die set from the collection. I die-cut the cat and pug accessories to decorate the pug and envelope.
Also, I used the half-circle die to cut to create a holder for the gift card.
Halloween Gift Card Holder Card
I created grid patterns using the Build a Plaid Layered Stencil for the background. Then, I used the essential envelope die to die-cut the envelope from persimmon-colored cardstock. Additionally, I used the Halloween Add-on Dies to create a black cat, spiderwebs, spiders, a bat, and candies.
I stamped the “Happy Halloween” sentiment using Versamark watermark ink on black cardstock, applied white embossing powder, and then heat set it with a heat tool.
I cut out a piece of black cardstock measuring 3 ¼ x 3 ¾ inches and attached a cat to the top of the black insert panel. Then, I used a half-circle die to create a gift card holder. After that, I cut out a piece of lilac cardstock measuring 3 x 3 1/4 inches, stamped the word “Boo” with watermark ink, applied white embossing powder, and heat-set it with a heat tool.
After that, I attached the lilac color panel to the insert panel and attached two spiders.
You can insert the gift card into the back of the panel, as it perfectly fits in the envelope.
The not-your-ordinary Card collection is so unique to creating many occasion projects.
