3 Layouts Using Oh Joyful Day by Rosie’s Studio
Hi everyone! I’m Stephanie Dang, and I am the guest designer for this beautiful collection called, Oh Joyful Day by Rosie’s Studio. If you would like to see more of my work or follow me, please find me on Instagram and blog. The inspiration for my projects is inspired by the whimsical Christmas feel of the collection featuring pink, mint, gold, and green. You will find all supplies to recreate all layouts at the bottom of my blog post.
- Step 1: Start with stripe background. Trim half an inch on each side of the “fa la la” paper and add to layout. Add stitching around the edges.
- Step 2: Trim the plaid paper to 5” x 6” and add to the right side of the page. Trim the pudding paper to 3” x 7.5” and adhere to the top of plaid paper. Add snow globe with photo to the page.
- Step 3: Add the plaid tag with twine attach to upper left of page. Layer on the Oh joyful day sentiment with the “celebrate the season” tag.
- Step 4: Add the “Christmas list” tag to right of plaid paper. Add and tuck the plaid frame to bottom left corner of picture. Add the thin stripe flag label to bottom right of photo. Add the candy cane stamp, the “believe” label, gold scallop border, and “Merry Christmas” title around the photo as seen. Type and add journaling.
- Step 5: Using the Christmas Cocktails Etched Dies, die-cut gingerbread man and bow tie. Add to page. Finish layout by adding the small enamels to page (red star, green star, and blue snowflakes).
- Step 1: Start with white background. Take the red pattern paper and hand tear the pieces by hand. Adhere to top and bottom of the layout. Take the green pattern paper and repeat the tearing process, but make it slightly thinner than the red paper. Adhere on the top and bottom of the page.
- Step 2: Taking the same green pattern paper and trim to 7.25” x 5.5”. Adhere in the middle of the page towards right side. Trim the pink polka dot paper 2.25” x 9”. Place it in the same area as the green but towards the bottom.
- Step 3: Add a 4.5” x 3” photo framed in white to the page. Tuck the “fa la la” paper that has been trimmed down to 1” x 6.75” to the right side of the photo.
- Step 4: Add the “Christmas list” tag with twin to bottom left of photo. Add snow globe to bottom right side of photo. Add stripe circle inside of globe topped with pink mistletoe.
- Step 5: Add the stripe flag and flag banner to top left of photo. Add “Christmas traditions” title to page. Add the “seasons greetings” subtitle to bottom of page. Add “family & friends” to right of photo.
- Step 6: Using the Christmas Cocktails Etched Dies, die cut the gingerbread man, firs, flowers, and berries. Add to page as seen. Add the gold scallop borders to top of page and below title. Add the “it’s such a wonderful time” to page.
- Step 7: Add the postage stamps to top of page, next to gingerbread man, and snow globe. Add “Dec” circle on top of flags on left side of photo. Finish with red star enamels to left and right of photo.
- Step 1: Using pink pattern paper as background. Add white paint splatters to top left side and bottom right side of page. Let dry.
- Step 2: Using postage dies (s5-635), die cut photo and also diecut the green pattern paper. Frame the photo in white and adhere on top of the green postage. Place photo postage towards right of page.
- Step 3: Add circles as seen on page. Add the labels and stamps to page. Add the “Merry Christmas” title to bottom of photo.
- Step 4: Using the Christmas Cocktails Etched Dies, die cut the firs, flowers, and berries. Add to right side of photo. Add the “jolly” enamel. Using star punches, cut out a variety sizes of stars on vellum. Add to page.
