My Love Glows Valentine’s Day Cards

Hello Crafty Friends, Heejung Hunsberger here! I’m thrilled to be returning as a guest designer for Spellbinders this month again! If you’d like to get to know me better, visit my blog or follow me on Instagram. Additionally, I have a YouTube channel where I regularly post video tutorials.

I created three Valentine’s cards featuring the Love on the Rocks collection, using black, pink, and red as a combination.

My Love Glows

First, I hot-foiled the My Heart Beats For You Betterpress plate with white foil on red cardstock.

Also, I hot-foiled the sentiments from the My Heart Beats for You BP set on black cardstock with the opal hot foil.

I die-cut the sentiment with the heart-shaped die from the My Heart Beats for You BetterPress Plate & Die set. I attached it with a foam sticker to the center of the card.

I finished it with black enamel dots on the flowers.

Sending Love in a Red Heart

I applied pink ink (using the Wild Berry BetterPress Mini ink pad) to the Betterpress cotton card panel.

Next, I better press the My Heart Beats For You plate in black ink (I used the BetterPress Black ink) on the colored cotton panel.

I made two black frames using the Perfect Touch Rectangle die and attached them over the panel.

I also hot-foil the sentiment on red card stock with white foil, die-cut it with the heart die, and attached it to the center of the card.

I die-cut the flowers on black card stock using the Gathering Stitches die, attached them with foam stickers, and finished them with the opal-colored gems.

Love on the Rocks

I die-cut the glass from the Love on the Rocks die on silver metallic cardstock. I also color-blended pink hues for the drinks.

I die-cut the ice cube on vellum paper.

I embossed the Embossing Folder Club of December 2024 to create the card’s background.

I hot-foiled the Valentine Happy Hour Sentiment BetterPress Plate sentiment using the Opal foil on black cardstock, die-cut with the coordinating die.

I created the chocolate-dipped strawberries from the Love on the Rocks die and added highlights with a white gel pen.

I had so much fun making these three cards. This collection would be an excellent addition to your other projects.
