Colorful Flower Carts and Butterflies With the Simple Vintage Flower Shoppe Collection
Hello crafters! This is Flávia Cavaliéri and I’m thrilled to be back on Spellbinders blog sharing a few more paper crafting ideas! Today we will be creating beautiful projects featuring many wonderful products from the Simple Vintage Flower Shoppe collection, by Simple Stories. This collection is simply outstanding and such a great reminder that Spring is right around the corner!
Flower Cart Note Card
Since I couldn’t resist, I recreated the same card design over and over again in different colors! These flower carts are simply adorable and perfect for any occasion!
- Die cut a flower cart and flower buckets using metal plates included in the Spellbinders Flower Cart die set.
- Use strong liquid adhesive to glue the pieces together, and a pair of self-lock tweezers to hold the very small die cuts.
- For some added interest, add yellow flat-back beads to the center of the flowers.
- Ink blend the front of an A7 size white note card using yellow ink to resemble sunlight!
- Adhere the flower cart to the front of the note card using strong liquid adhesive. Use foam squares to adhere the flower buckets, for some dimension.
- Add a sticker sentiment strip from a sticker page included in the Spellbinders Simple Vintage Flower Shoppe Collection Kit.
Tip: To make the process easier use a wax pencil to pick up small embellishments. Plan and die-cut all of the needed pieces at once, so you can really enjoy assembling the flower carts!
Scrapbooking
Simple Village patterned paper and stickers are gorgeous and you will spend more time trying to decide which one to use (because you will want to use it all) than actually making the projects!
- Select two of your favorite photos, and use the second largest plate included in the Spellbinders Essential Arches die set to cut them out.
- Use the largest plate included in the Spellbinders Essential Arches die set to cut out two large arched panels from a piece of patterned paper included in the Spellbinders Simple Vintage Flower Shoppe Collection Kit. Adhere the photos on top of these two large arched panels.
- Create scalloped borders to adhere below the arched pieces, using metal plates included in the Stitch & Dots Scallop Borders die set.
- For a touch of gold, adhere a thin golden cardstock strip between the arched die-cut photos and the scalloped borders. I used Spellbinders Mirror Gold cardstock.
- Adhere the two arched photo pieces to a 12 x 12 white cardstock page. Then, trim it to 10 x 10 and adhere it on top of a 12 x 12 patterned paper included in the Simple Vintage Flower Shoppe Collection Kit.
- For the sentiments, use die cuts included in the Simple Vintage Flower Shoppe Sentiment Bits & Pieces set.
- Decorate your page with beautiful flowers, butterflies, flower buckets, and many more using stickers included in the Simple Vintage Flower Shoppe Collection Kit
Surprise Window Note Card
Surprise window note cards are such a fun surprise for the recipient and they are so easy to make!
- Die cut a window from the front of a white A2 size note card using the largest metal plate included in the Spellbinders Scallop Journal Cards die set.
- Rub on a sentiment onto the die-cut scalloped circle using a sentiment included in the Spellbinders Simple Vintage Flower Shoppe Rub Ons. Then, ink-blend over it with yellow ink and adhere the scalloped circle back in the negative space.
- Die cut flowers and branches to decorate the note card with metal plates included in the Spellbinders Scallop Journal Cards die set.
- Add shimmery dots around the scalloped circle window using a shimmer shimmer pen.
- Use the leftover die-cut flowers to decorate the flap of the envelope!
