Hoppy Spring Featuring Nichol Spohr’s – Spring Felt Stitch & Create with Amy Tsuruta

Hello!  It’s Amy Tsuruta with two projects that use the sweet new Felt Stitch & Create Collection by Nichol Spohr. The newest collection includes two die sets that are perfect for plushies, home decor, cards and so much more! They are a wonderful addition to the Nichol Spohr collection.

I decided to create a home decor project and a card.

Hoppy Spring Featuring Nichol Spohr’s - Spring Felt Stitch & Create with Amy Tsuruta, S6-255, STP-238, SDS-185

My first project features the Felt Carrot Companion as a home decor project. I used the following colors of felt:

Holiday Collection –  Rosy, Mossy, Coal; Warm Collection – Raspberry; Trend Collection – Clay; Neutral Collection – Aloe.

I did all the stitching with three strands of coordinating DMC Floss.  The carrot top cut in Mossy felt makes for fun grassy detail. Rather than using the bow around the rabbit’s neck, I put it below her ear for a cute accessory.

The sentiment, from Typewriter Adventure Sentiments has been heat embossed in white on black cardstock.  I used the flag die from the Snowflake Wishes set.

My second project is a hello card that features the Felt Cozy Cluck.  The base starts with the Emerald Cut Labels and Tag Etched Dies. I used the largest Emerald shaped die and coordinating interior panel die.  Those stacked pieces have been backed with black cardstock and trimmed down to follow the overall shape. The sentiment is from Spring Chicken.  It has been heat embossed in white.

Her bow choker necklace uses two beaks and one eye.

The chicken has been stitched with two strands of coordinating DMC Floss.  I used the following colors of felt:

Trend Collection – Aqua; Warm Collection – Raspberry,  Taffy; Holiday Collection – Coal.

I’m a huge fan of the Felt Stitch Felt Stitch & Create collection! I hope that I’ve inspired you to give it a try.  They really are fun to see transformed into completed projects. They make wonderful gifts and keepsakes.

Thanks so much for stopping by!
