BetterPress,  Cardmaking,  Die Cutting

In Reel Color

Hello Crafty Friends, it’s Amy Tsuruta and I’m thrilled to be back on the Spellbinders blog featuring the amazing Take Note Collection. I wanted to incorporate a rainbow palette with my projects but also keep it to a handful of colors.

For my first project, I designed a mini composition book.

I combined the Memo Splatter BetterPress Plate along with the Reel Color Sentiment BetterPress Plate & Die Set. This is when I tell you that I love working with BetterPress products!  The Memo Splatter was inked in Azalea – BetterPress Ink, and the sentiment in Black – BetterPress ink. All the white paper I used is the BetterPress Porcelain Cotton card panels. The base panel is the Soaring 3D embossing Folder from the Collaged Birds Collection by Dina Wakley. I added a black strip of cardstock for the composition book spine.

Next up is a card that features the Reel Color Etched Dies.

I wanted to use a softer palette and combined these Spellbinder cardstock colors: BelliniCoralCarrotBreeze.

Isn’t that note paper fun? It’s the Push Pin Notes Etched Dies. The sentiment is from the Reel Color Sentiments BetterPress Plate & Die set.  The lines are from the Take Note Registration Press Plates. The blooms are from Colorful Expressions Blooms.

My final project features three products from this new collection.

I love how the black makes everything pop.  Still wanting to use a rainbow color palette, these are the Spellbinders cardstock colors I used for the reels: CranberryPoppyWild BerryBellini, Carrot, Coral.

I adore the Journal Grid Registration Press Plates.  Adding this card to my birthday card stash.

Thanks for stopping by today!  A big shout-out to Spellbinders! I can’t wait to see how you’re inspired! You can find me on Instagram @craftee1
