Fun Dies and Crafty Babe Supplies Card
Hi there crafty friends! I’m Rebecca Keppel. Today I am sharing a step-by-step tutorial using some of the Crafty Babe dies and Simple Stories supplies to create a card.
When working with papercrafting supplies, I like to choose a sentiment for my card first and build out the rest of the card around it. Here, I started by checking out the Crafty Babe Bits & Pieces cardstock die cuts and chose the “shine & sparkle” pieces.
Next, I chose a piece of the 12×12 Crafty Babe patterned paper and cut it down to A2 (4.25×5.5”). I use my Color Swatch Petal Etched Dies swatch book of ColorWheel cardstock to find coordinating cardstock colors.
Then grab the Crafty Tools Etched Dies and some glitter cardstock and Silver Mirror cardstock.
The Crafty Tools Dies are layering dies so I cut out pieces of a glitter glue bottle out of pink cardstock and the cap out of the Silver Mirror cardstock.
Adhere the die-cut pieces together with a bit of liquid adhesive. Use the same technique to create a silver washi tape roll.
You can use the 12×12 sticker sheet from the Simple Stories Crafty Babe 12 x 12″ Collection Kit to find a sticker strip that can be cut down to slighter wider than the cardstock.
The sticker can be folded on the sides to wrap around the back.
Use the Spellbinders Tape runner to adhere the cardstock to the patterned paper.
Place small foam squares on the back of the die cuts.
Once the basics are adhered down, it is fun to use some of the other Simple Stories elements to embellish the card further. The Adhesive Brads are always some of my favorites because there are so many options and they are self adhesive so you don’t have to deal with brad wings!
There are also small die cuts in the packs. Adhering them with small foam squares adds extra dimension to your card.
The Glitter Enamel Dots are also great embellishments to add a little color and shine.
I hope you can see how much fun it is to combine papercrafting elements and fun dies to create a Crafty Babe card!
Thanks so much for stopping by today! If you would like to see more of my Spellbinders projects, I share lots of them on my Instagram and Youtube Channel and would love to connect with you there!
