A Fresh Take on Fall with Kelly Bangs Autumn Archives

Hi there, crafty friends! I’m Rebecca Keppel, and I love the fall! The new Spellbinders Autumn Archives collection, designed by Kelly Bangs, has all my fall favorites. There’s patterned paper with cozy designs and fresh color combinations, and dies that make leaves and trees and pretty script BetterPress sentiments.

The whole Autumn Archives collection works well together, whether you are creating scrapbook pages or cards. Use the 12×12 Patterned Paper to create a fun fall background. One of the plaid patterns looks like a warm sweater or flannel shirt! Tap some Raven Splatter Effects on the patterned paper. Layer ovals cut with the Essential Modern Ovals Etched Dies from Fawn and Merlot Cardstock. Have fun combining different fall colors of cardstock with the Falling Leaves Etched Dies. Create a sentiment by using Opaque White Foil with one of the sentiments from the Autumn Sentiments BetterPress Plates and Die Set on Cinnamon Cardstock. Accent the die cuts and cardstock with a few white gel pen details for interest.

The Autumn Archives collection includes traditional fall color combinations, but also adds in some fun fresh twists with pink, aqua, and coral. Use one of the patterned papers with these fun colors for two-thirds of the card and combine it with Bellini and Waterfall Cardstocks. Cut a few layered leaves with the Falling Leaves Etched Dies. For the sentiment, try the Autumn Alpha Etched Dies adhered to a label from the Documenting Labels Etched Dies in Terra Cotta Cardstock. Embellish with the adorable buttons from the Autumn Archives Chipboard Die Cut Stickers.

Nothing is more fall than trees with falling leaves! The Changing Trees Etched Dies create whimsical trees. Cut the three layers of each tree out of various colors of cardstock. Truffle Cardstock is a great choice for the limbs and trunks. The floral-patterned paper creates a background that combines the rich autumn traditional colors with pink and aqua, and other fresh colors. So create a cardstock double matte that does the same. Try Seaside and Cinnamon cardstocks. For the sentiment, grab a die cut from the Autumn Archives Cardstock Die Cuts and use a bit of Sicily Cardstock to create a small matte around it.
