Hello! It’s day 7 of the Craftoween Advent Calendar reveal, and I’m sharing a step-by-step photo tutorial to create a spooky, cute Halloween card.

For this card, we will create a BetterPress background and a frame using two dies together. I only used cardstock colors found in Halloween Assortment ColorWheel Cardstock Pack with the exception of the Onyx Glitter Cardstock.

Die cut the pieces from the Craftoween Day 7 card, holding dies in place with Best Ever Craft Tape. These dies are all small enough to fit through the Scout Platinum Die Cutting Machine.

I used Peridot, Raven, Fog, Carrot, Saffron, Lilac, and Onyx Glitter Cardstock from the Onyx Assorted Treasured Cardstock Pack for my card.

Assemble dies using liquid glue for the best hold. A pick-up tool is very helpful for picking up those tiny die cuts.

Place the Spider Web Background Press Plate on the magnetic platform (Chase), tape a piece of Porcelain BetterPress A2 Cotton Card Panel on the clear top plate (Platen), ink up the press plate with Iris BetterPress Ink, place clear plate on top, and run through Platinum 6 Die Cutting Machine.

Place the second and third smallest Perfect Touch Rectangles and Tag Etched Dies together evenly spaced. Add Best Ever Craft Tape to two sides and die cut a piece of Onyx Glitter Cardstock.

Die cut a panel of Raven ColorWheel Cardstock using the largest Perfect Touch Rectangles and Tag Etched Dies.

Cut the spider web panel to 4 x 5 ¼” and adhere to the Raven panel with liquid glue.

Add 1MM Black Foam Adhesive Squares to the backs of the die cuts, sentiment, and frame. For the frame, you may need to cut squares in half.

Peel the backers off the foam squares, then place on card panel. Finish with Glossy Accents on flames and candle wax drips.
