Merry Mischief Cards Inspiration
Hi crafty friends! I’m Lea Lawson, the creator behind Lea Lawson Creates, where I share all things colorful, crafty, and joy-filled. I’m thrilled to be here on the Spellbinders blog today with a trio of playful holiday cards featuring the brand-new Merry Mischief collection!
This whimsical release is packed with charm, and I couldn’t resist diving in with three festive designs that mix die-cutting, embossing, foiling, and a whole lot of personality. From a penguin in a scarf to Santa’s legs in a chimney (oops!), each card brings a little mischief and a lot of holiday cheer. Let’s take a closer look at how they came together!

Deck the Paws card

This playful pup is ready to light up the holidays! For this card, I paired the Deck the Paws stamp & die set with the Peppermint Twist press plate, which I foiled in shimmering Crimson Stars foil for a festive, candy-cane-inspired backdrop. The result? A cheerful, slightly mischievous holiday greeting that’s sure to bring smiles and sparkle to the season.

Cozy Waddles Card

These bundled-up penguins are bringing all the cozy vibes! For this card, I used the Cozy Waddles stamp & die set alongside the Season Sparkles 3D embossing folder to create a textured, wintry backdrop. A touch of Splatter White opaque watercolor adds that snowy magic, making it feel like these little friends are truly waddling through a winter wonderland.

Chimney Caper card

The Chimney Caper stamp & die set brings the perfect dose of holiday humor, and that glitter metallic paper from the Antique Assorted Pack absolutely steals the scene—it’s like the snow is sparkling with anticipation for Santa’s grand (and slightly clumsy) entrance. I just love how the gradient sky with those twinkly embellishments (courtesy of the Aura AB self-adhesive jewels) makes the whole card feel magical and mischievous!

These cards are a joyful celebration of the season—full of texture, shimmer, and playful charm! Whether you’re sending cozy wishes or a giggle tucked inside an envelope, there’s a little something here to make spirits merry and bright. I’ve got even more Merry Mischief inspiration waiting for you over on my blog today, and I’d love for you to swing by and take a peek!
