Beginner-Friendly Baby Cards with the Say Cheese Classic Pooh Baby Collection
Hello there, Michelle Short here, and I am delighted to be back on the Spellbinders blog sharing three cards using the Say Cheese Classic Pooh Birthday collection. This wonderful collection is perfect for new baby cards, but can be used for other occasions too. I kept the cards simple, featuring lots of white space. These were pretty quick and easy to make, so perfect for beginner cardmakers.

BABY
My first card uses Bundle of Joy Stamp & Die Bundle, along with the older Pooh’s Alphabet Dies.

To make this card:
- Stamp Pooh with a brick from Bundle of Joy Stamp Set onto Classic White ColorWheel Cardstock using Memento Tuxedo Black Ink.
- Colour using Copic Markers.
- Die cut out using coordinating die.

- Die cut letters (b, a & y) from Pooh’s Alphabet, Numbers & More Etched Dies from Malibu ColorWheel Cardstock. Cut each letter three times.
- Adhere each layer of letter one on top of each other using Bearly Art Glue.
- Using the letters and stamped image as a guide for placement, stamp sentiment from Hello Baby Stamp Set onto a 5.25” x 4.25” panel of Classic White ColorWheel Cardstock using black ink.

- Adhere panel onto A2-sized card base made from Malibu ColorWheel Cardstock using thin foam tape.
- Adhere letters on top using Bearly Art Glue.
- Adhere stamped Pooh on top, with thin foam tape, to complete the ‘b’ in baby.
WELCOME, LITTLE ONE
My next card uses Hello Baby Stamp & Die Bundle, along with The Hundred Acre Wood Press + Foil Plate.

To make this card:
- Stamp stork and Pooh image from Hello Baby Stamp Set onto Classic White ColorWheel Cardstock using Memento Tuxedo Black Ink.
- Colour using Copic Markers.
- Die cut out using coordinating die.
- Stamp sentiment from set onto Raven ColorWheel Cardstock using Versamark Ink. Apply white embossing powder and heat set. Cut into strip.

- Place The Hundred Acre Wood Press + Foil Plate onto chase of the BetterPress Letterpress System. Place panel of Classic White ColorWheel Cardstock on top. Attach platen onto platform with corner magnets and run through Platinum Six.
TIP: When dry pressing plates onto cardstock, I do not feel the need to hold down the cardstock onto the platen with tape, but if you are worried about it shifting, you can do that. Here I used regular cardstock, rather than BetterPress cardstock, so I did not get as good of an impression compared to using the recommended cardstock. However, I wanted this to be a subtle background, so I was happy with it. If you want a deeper impression, use BetterPress panels.

- Create an A2-sized card base from Orchid ColorWheel Cardstock. Cut approximately 0.75” off the bottom of the front panel.
- Die cut one of the Ribbon & Trim Etched Dies from Orchid ColorWheel Cardstock and adhere it to the front panel of the card base, so it is in line with the back panel of the card.
- Cut pressed panel down slightly (so that it is 4” tall) and adhere to card base with thin foam tape.
- Adhere image and sentiment on top, using thinner foam tape.
- Embellish with Pink Color Essentials Gems.
HELLO, BABY
For my last project, I’m using the Hello Baby Stamp & Die Bundle again, but this time, combining it with Classic Pooh Baby Blocks 3D Embossing Folder.

To make this card:
- Stamp Pooh with rattle image from Hello Baby Stamp Set onto Classic White ColorWheel Cardstock using Memento Tuxedo Black Ink.
- Colour using Copic Markers.
- Die cut out using coordinating die.

- Place a piece of Fairy Tale ColorWheel Cardstock inside the Classic Pooh Baby Blocks 3D Embossing Folder and run it through Platinum Six.
- Repeat process with Lavender and Lilac ColorWheel Cardstock.
TIP: Since I knew I only wanted the blocks with the letters to spell ‘baby’, I cut small pieces of cardstock and placed them over those areas of the embossing folder, instead of embossing whole panels.
- Cut the blocks out using scissors.

- Create mini slimline card base (6” x 3.5”) from Lilac ColorWheel Cardstock.
- Cut panel of Classic White ColorWheel Cardstock to 5.75” x 3.5” and stamp ‘hello,’ from Hello Baby Stamp Set on top using black ink.
- Adhere panel to card base with thin foam tape.
- Adhere blocks on top, followed by pooh, both using thin foam tape.
- Embellish with Prism AB Color Essentials Gems.
I hope you have enjoyed seeing my projects today. I really enjoyed combining stamping with die cutting and embossing. There are die sets that I didn’t use in the collection, so if die cutting is your thing, I hope you will check them out! Thank you so much for visiting today. I hope you have a wonderful day!
