Turn Paper into Art with the Regal Reflection Collection

Hello, crafty friends! I am Heejung Hunsberger, and I am so honored to be joining Spellbinders today as a Guest Designer to introduce the stunning new Regal Reflection Collection. You can also find more of my work on my Blog and Instagram. Additionally, I have a YouTube channel where I regularly post video tutorials.

For this collection, I focused on a classic and elegant look. I got my ideas from beautiful buildings and pretty gardens. From the detailed pierce plates to the cute characters, I made these sets to help you create cards that look like art.

I am delighted to share three unique card designs today, showcasing how these elements can be layered to create sophisticated and heartfelt cards.

Your Grace Inspires Card

This card features a unique arch-shaped base, layered with different colors to create a classic look.

• Creating the Shaped Base: To make the arch-shaped card base, fold white cardstock in half. Place the large arch die from the Arch Punch & Pierce Plate over the folded paper. Ensure the cutting edge on the left side is slightly outside the fold so it doesn’t cut the folded line. Run it through the machine to get your shaped card base.

• Layering the Arches: Die-cut the same Arch Punch & Pierce Plate multiple times using Indigo, Matte Gold, and White cardstock. Layer these to create a multi-colored frame.
• Constructing the Background: Die-cut a small arch from Cosmic Sky cardstock using the Essential Arches Etched Dies and hide it behind the center white arch for a dark blue backdrop.

• Assembling the Vase: Die-cut the vase backdrop from Waterfall cardstock and the vase from Blue Spruce cardstock using the Regal Bloom Die set.
• Building the Floral Arrangement: Using the Regal Blooms set, die-cut the stems and leaves from Waterfall cardstock. For the flowers, use Wild Berry (dark), Dahlia (medium), and Chiffon (light) cardstock for a nice gradient.
• Adding Dimension: Add shading to the flowers, leaves, and vase using alcohol markers to make them look more 3D.

• Finishing with the Sentiment: Gold heat emboss the sentiment from the Lasting Impression Sentiments onto white cardstock. Die-cut it using the die from the January 2026 Post Card Hello. Attach it with foam stickers.

Lavender Floral Lattice Card

This card shows how to use the Regal Lattice 3D Embossing Folder with soft ink blending.

• Embossing the Background: Use the Regal Lattice 3D Embossing Folder on white cardstock. This folder has two designs; use the side with the floral arch for this card.

• Ink Blending: Lightly blend Pool ink around the edges with a blending brush to show the pattern better.
• Assembling the Vase: Die-cut the top of the vase from Lavender cardstock and the base from Indigo cardstock using the Regal Bloom set.

• Building the Blooms: Using the Regal Blooms set, die-cut stems from Rainforest cardstock. For the flowers, use Lilac (dark), Lavender (medium), and Fairy Tale (light) cardstock.
• Adding Dimension: Use a blending brush to add shading to the flowers and leaves.

• Creating the Sentiment: Stamp the sentiment from the Lasting Impression Sentiments onto Indigo cardstock with Versa Mark ink. Apply white embossing powder and heat set with a heat tool.
• Finishing Touches: Die-cut the sentiment with the Post Card Hello die (Press & Foil Club of January 2026). Attach it over the vase and add Gold Fashion Embellishments.

Regal Spaniel Completion Card

This final card uses all the products from the collection for a layered and grand scene.

• Preparing the Textured Background: Emboss white cardstock using the grid pattern from the Regal Lattice 3D Embossing Folder.

• Layering the Arches: Use the second indigo lace arch from the Arch Punch & Pierce Plate. Frame it with a matte gold arch using the Essential Arches Etched Dies.
• Creating the Inner Arch: Die-cut an arch from Cascade cardstock and emboss it with the same grid pattern to match the background.

• Assembling the Character: Die-cut the dog from the Regal Pair set using white and Carrot cardstock. Use Matte Gold for the collar and tassels, and Tuscan cardstock for the cushion.
• Building the Blue Floral Frame: Using the Regal Blooms set, die-cut flowers in a blue gradient using Indigo, Cascade, and Windy cardstock. Use white for the stems and leaves.

• Detailing the Sentiment: Stamp the sentiment from the Lasting Impression Sentiments onto white cardstock. Applied gold heat powder and heat-set with the heat tool.
• Final Assembly: Die-cut the sentiment with the Post Card Hello die. Mount it with foam stickers and add Gold Fashion Embellishments for some sparkle.
