Stitchmas Christmas Inspiration with Michelle Short

Hello there, Michelle Short here to share some inspiration using the new Stitchmas Christmas Collection. If you love stitching, this is the perfect collection for you! Not keen on stitching? Do take a closer look at the collection, the dies still look great without stitching. Having said that, I do enjoy stitching, so all my projects use stitching today.

STITCHED JOY CARD

I started off my card by die-cutting Stitched Joy from Snowdrift Cardstock twice. I removed the piercing holes with the Tool ‘n One and then the pieces adhered together with Bearly Art Glue for added stability. Using red, green, and gold thread/floss, I stitched the pattern.

The ‘joy’ letters were die cut out twice from Snowdrift Cardstock and once from gold glitter cardstock. They were stacked one on top of each other and then added to the center of the die-cut, which was then adhered to a mini slimline card base using foam tape.

The sentiment from Glitter Wishes Glimmer Hot Foil Plate & Die Set was foiled using Champagne Foil and die cut out. It was added to the card with more foam tape. To finish off, I added Gold Mix Color Essentials Gems.

STITCHED MERRY WISHES ORNAMENT

The Stitched Ornament Etched Dies to make a perfect ornament to add to cards and other paper crafting projects, but it also works well as a decoration/ornament in itself. You could even use it as a tag too! I die-cut the layers from Cosmic Sky Cardstock twice so that I could layer them up for stability. The base layer was then stitched using silver thread.

The detail layer was added on top and then I adhered the back panel to the ornament to sandwich in the thread on the back. I die-cut the topper piece from silver glitter cardstock and Snowdrift Cardstock, twice. The silver pieces adhered to the white pieces and then each one was added to each side of the ornament. I then threaded more silver thread through them and tied in a bow.

I foiled the sentiment from Glitter Wishes Glimmer Hot Foil Plate & Die Set onto more Cosmic Sky Cardstock with Silver Foil. It was cut into a strip and added to the ornament with foam tape. To finish off, I added Silver Mix Color Essential Gems.

SNOWFLAKE KISSES CARD

My last project today uses the Stitched Diamond Argyle Etched Dies, which I cut twice from Snowdrift Cardstock and adhered together using Bearly Art Glue. I then stitched the panel using blue and purple thread/floss.

The panel adhered to an A2 white card base with more Bearly Art Glue. I stamped the sentiment from Many Merry Christmas Sentiments Clear Stamp & Die Set onto Royal Amethyst Cardstock using Clear Embossing & Watermark Ink.
