Hi there, this is Annie Williams and I’m so happy to be back on the blog today to share a couple of simple and cute cards made with the new Sky’s The Limit Collection by Simon Hurley. The adorable dies and pretty sentiments in the collection inspired me to create two colorful cards perfect for sending an encouraging note to a friend. KEEP SOARING CARD I have two young kids who love flying kites, and over the years I have really come to appreciate how peaceful it is to stand on a beach or in a field and watch these colorful pieces of art fly. Colorful and Elegant Cards with the Yana’s Daisies Collection
Hi there, this is Annie Williams and I’m thrilled to be back on the blog today to share a couple of pretty and colorful cards made with the new Yana’s Daisies Collection by Yana Smakula. The gorgeous press plates, dies, and sentiments in the collection inspired me to create two pretty cards showcasing this beautiful bloom. THINKING OF YOU CARD Gerbera daisies, Shasta daisies, Cape daisies…doesn’t matter, I love them all! As my very favorite flower, I couldn’t wait to play with Yana’s new collection celebrating everything daisy. The Yana’s Daisies Die Set seemed like a great place to start, so I added tons of bright color for this simple…

Delicate Duo: Capturing the Charm of Daisies
Hi there, my Spellbinders’ friends! My name is Jaycee Gaspar, and I’m so excited to share two cards featuring Yana’s Daisies by Yana Smakula. This collection features gorgeous daisy images in Yana’s signature die-cut outline style. I decided to pair the A2 and A7 BetterPress plates with complementary color layering stencils. For my designs, I chose to emphasize the versatility of these plates by using cohesive color palettes—just like the vast daisy family, Asteraceae. Up first, I used Yana’s Daisy Trio BetterPress Plate and its coordinating Layered Daisy Trio Stencil to make this card based on Rudbeckia. In my home state of Colorado, these black-eyed-susans thrive in the dry and…

Delightful Daisies
Hello crafters! It’s Lisa Tilson here with you again on the Spellbinders blog. I’m thrilled to be here to share some ways to use Yana’s Daisies Collection with you. This is a lovely collection by Yana Smakula that includes a couple of press plates with coordinating stencils, a set of etched dies, a 3D embossing folder and a set of BetterPress sentiments. I often talk about double the fun with press plates as they can be foiled as well as pressed and they give stunning results whatever technique you choose. There is also another way to use them and I cover that later in this post! There are so many…

Clean and Simple Cards Using the Field Notes Collection
Hello! Jen Kotas here today with three cards featuring the Field Notes Collection. This collection includes three die sets, two BetterPress sets, a stamp set and a 3D embossing folder. I kept my cards clean and simple today. The embossing folder adds a lovely texture and design to the background allowing the die cuts and images to shine. I did not have the stamp set to use so I pulled out the Holding Your Heart Sentiments BetterPress Plates and Die Set to use instead. When I first used this set I made lots of extras. Perfect for times like this! Emboss a 4 x 5 1/4” panel of Alabaster ColorWheel…

Pastel Tone Textures Cards with Field Notes Collection
Hello, Crafty Friends, I’m Heejung Hunsberger, and I am honored to return as a guest designer for Spellbinders this month. Today, I’m excited to share three cards in pastel tones that feature the Field Notes Collection. If you’d like to get to know me better, visit my blog or follow me on Instagram. Additionally, I have a YouTube channel where I regularly post video tutorials. YOU’RE IN MY THOUGHTS CARD First, I embossed the Field Notes 3D embossing folder onto the Waterfall Color Card stock. Before embossing, spray water onto the card stock; this additional step yields better results than embossing without water spray. I used the BetterPress System to…

Add the Perfect Finishing Touch With Mini Wax Seals
Hello there, Michelle Short here and I am delighted to be back on the Spellbinders blog using the Mini Wax Seals collection. As the name suggests, these wax seals are much smaller in size that the previous ones and are oh-so cute! I think they are the perfect finishing touch for cards, tags, boxes and more! JUST A NOTE My first card uses two of the new Mini Wax Seals. I thought they would look great on mini envelopes. They are a little on the large size for the envelopes I used, but I still think they look great! To make this card: Die cut the envelope from Love Note…
