Beautiful Backgrounds Cards with Joy
Hello crafty friends, I love a good background stamp! I’m going to show you three cards using three different background stamps from the Stampendous Beautiful Backgrounds. I used three different techniques with these awesome stamps. For my first card, I used the Leafy Lines background stamp, it has a pull-away piece that I used for this card design. On a piece of watercolor paper I hot-foiled the background with the Diagonal Glimmer Stripes (discontinued) and Aura foil. I stamped the corners with the Leafy Lines pull-away stamp piece. I colored the leaves with multiple colors using Karin Watercolor Markers. I added a few splatters with the Karin Markers and added…

Creating Christmas Cards with the Simon Hurley Christmas Collection
Hi, it’s Marie here from the blog and YouTube channel, Marie Nicole Designs. I’m excited to be sharing three cards I created using stamps from the new Simon Hurley Christmas Collection. These cards are fairly simple to create, and they will be perfect to send out in this upcoming holiday season. I made two cards with a glimmered background I added with a Simon Hurley Glimmer plate I have. I think the pattern looks like snowflakes so it fit well with the snowmen! The last card I made is simply using the stamped image along with a sentiment and some ink-blended colors. Let’s take a look! SIMPLY SNOWMEN I started…

Modern Holiday Magic: Minimalist Christmas Cards with Style
Hi there my Spellbinders’ friends! My name is Jaycee Gaspar and I’m so excited to share three cards featuring the Simon Hurley Christmas Collection. This collection features coordinating stamps and dies with a fun sketched feel. As an added bonus, I used one of Simon Hurley’s Astro Pastes to complement the design of these cards. My main focus on these card projects was balancing the sketched and illustrated feeling of the images with modern and sleek details. I hope that you can use these design techniques in your holiday cards and see how easy it is to keep things simple and stylish. For this first card technique, I wanted to showcase…

Silly Goose Birthday Party
Hello crafty friends! It’s Rachel Alvarado from RachelAlvaradoDesigns.com. I have a few cards to share with you showcasing some fun and beautiful new stamp sets illustrated by Simon Hurley. For my first card, I created a slimline card measuring at 3.5” x 8.5” featuring the Silly Goose Stamp Set. I made my card one-layer by masking my images as I stamped. In order to do this, I first created a rough draft of where I wanted to place my images and then used my MISTI to align my images on my final draft as I stamped. I started with the images that appeared in the front of my card first,…

The unique images and sentiments in the collection inspired me to create two fun cards perfect for sending birthday wishes to anyone on your mailing list. Pink Ombre Birthday Cake Card I loved the sketchy style of the Birthday Party Stamp Set and having the solid layering stamps makes it even more fun to use! Here I stamped multiple layers of both the cake and balloon images before adding some extra touches with alcohol markers for a…

I hope you enjoy them as much as I enjoyed making them!…

Moving into Summer with House Mouse Fun
Hi crafters, Dina Kowal here! The House Mouse gang is back with some hot weather antics in the Summer Fun collection… I’m not even sure how it’s already time for summer cards, but here we are! There are 4 new sets in this House Mouse release, each with a card-sized image and several coordinating sentiments. I love the movement that is drawn into each of these images, so I used different methods and mediums to highlight those details. You know I love to watercolor, so on all these cards I used my favorite paints to begin my coloring. I let the paint dry between layers and kept building up intensity,…

This collection is so enjoyable because it encompasses our favorite summer pastimes that will take you down memory lane. The Coloring What I personally love about coloring House Mouse stamps is that the shading is built in for you, taking the guess work out of it. I have heard people say that sometimes they don’t know where to start with their coloring because light source,…
