Vibrant Aquatic Cards Featuring Seahorse Kisses Collection with Emily Leiphart
Hello, crafty friends! It’s Emily Leiphart here and I’m thrilled to be guesting on the Spellbinders blog, featuring the Seahorse Kisses Collection by Dawn Woleslagle. I’m a long-time fan of Dawn’s artistry and jumped at the chance to work with her first collection for Spellbinders. I love the aquatic theme of Seahorse Kisses and the beautiful images and sentiments. I chose five colors, plus gold, to feature on all three of these cards using all five sets from this collection. You Are Simply Amazing Jellyfish Card My first card features a simple design featuring the Seahorse Kisses Sentiments, which I heat foiled with Matte Gold Hot Foil before using the…

Hummingbird Cards 3 Ways with Jung AhSang
Hello crafty friends! It’s Jung here, and I am back with another guest post on the Spellbinders blog. Today, I made 3 cards using the new Hummingbird collection from Bibi Cameron. For my first card, I used the larger Delicate Floral Hummingbirds die set to make a 5×7 card. I started out by die-cutting all the pieces from white cardstock. I cut the 3 flower stamens from mirror gold cardstock. I used different combinations of green ink to ink blend the larger greenery outline, as well as the leaves. Then I used pink inks for the flowers, and a combination of blue, purple, and teal inks for the birds. I…

Layered Stencils 3 Ways with Jung AhSang
Hello crafty friends! It’s Jung here, and I am back with another guest post on the Spellbinders blog. Today, I made 3 cards using the Layered Stencils collection. I have been loving stencils for adding color, and this collection is stunning. Each of the sets comes with 4 layering stencils, as well as a solid sentiment mask. There are also coordinating dies that will die cut the large sentiment; some even have coordinating dies for a few of the florals. I made all three of my cards in the same way. First, I started out by stenciling the sentiment. I masked off the motifs around it to work on the…

Metamorphosis Collection Cardmaking Ideas
Hello crafty friends! It’s Jung here, and I am back with another guest post on the Spellbinders blog. Today, I made 3 cards using the new Metamorphosis collection by Simon Hurley. Butterfly Hugs Card For my first card, I used butterflies, stained glass window, and sentiment dies. I started out my card with the stained glass window. I used Distress inks to ink blend a panel of white cardstock. Next, I taped the outer die to the detailed die to keep the spacing the same. I die-cut my ink blended panel with the stained glass window die, and I diecut 3 more panels from white cardstock to layer behind for…

Anemone Blooms, a Trio of Cards
Hello crafty friends! It’s Jung here, and today, I’m sharing 3 cards that I made using the new Anemone Blooms collection by Yana Smakula. Yellow Foiled Anemones For my first card, I used the Anemone Glimmer Blooms as the focal point. First, I foiled the Anemone Glimmer Blooms hot foil plate on smooth white cardstock with polished brass foil. While my Glimmer machine was hot, I foiled all the sentiments from the Hello, Friend Sentiments as well as the Inside Card Glimmer Sentiments on smooth white cardstock with satin gold foil. Next, I used the coordinating die to die-cut the Anemone Blooms image, and then colored the image with Copic…

Rainbow Showered with Love Cards
Hello crafty friends! It’s Jung here, and I share 3 cards that I made using the new Showered with Love collection by Vicky Papaioannou. Umbrella Blooms Slimline Card For my first card, I used the Umbrella Bloom dies to create a vertical slimline card. First, I die-cut all the dies in the Umbrella Bloom die set. For the umbrella pieces, I die-cut them several times to make a total of 4 umbrellas. Next, I glued together all the umbrella pieces, and the floral pieces. For my background panel, I trimmed a piece of white cardstock to be slightly smaller than a slimline card, then used Distress inks to create an…

Trio of Floral Reflection Collection Cards with Jung AhSang
Hello crafty friends! It’s Jung here, and I am so happy to be returning for another guest post on the Spellbinders blog. For my projects today, I’m working with some products from the Floral Reflection collection. I love all the florals in the collection, and especially the heart dies! For my first card, I started with the Floral Reflection dies, along with the Essential Floral Reflection die. First, I die-cut all the dies in the Floral Reflection die set on white cardstock for the flower pieces, and craft cardstock for the larger foliage piece. I die-cut everything twice since you need 2 of the floral pieces to cover the shaped…

Wax Seal Collection on Handmade Cards with Jung AhSang
Hello crafty friends! It’s Jung here, and I am back with another guest post on the Spellbinders blog. For my projects today, I’m working with some products from the new Wax Seal collection. This was such a fun collection to work with! There are a couple methods to work with the wax seals. You can pour the wax, and seal them directly on your project. You can also make the wax seals on the silicone mat that comes with the wax seal kit, and then adhere them to your project. I am a bit of a perfectionist, so I made my wax seals on the silicone mat. That way, I…

Trio of Stitched Holiday Cards with Jung
Hello crafty friends! It’s Jung here, and I am very excited to be returning for another guest post on the Spellbinders Blog. If you’d like to follow my crafty projects, my blog is jungahsang.wordpress.com, and my Instagram is @junglebarrya. For my projects today, I’m working with some products from the Stitchmas Christmas collection. I love how the dies cut the holes, and there are embossed lines to guide your stitches. You could also stitch just part of the design, and it would still be gorgeous. Stitched Ornament Card For my first card, I used the stitched ornament etched dies. First, I die-cut the stitched ornament from Poppy Field cardstock. Then,…
