Easy Chess-Themed Birthday Card Tutorial with Spellbinders Checkmate Collection
Hi, crafty friends! Lea Lawson here today with an easy tutorial featuring the Chess & Checkers die set from the new Checkmate collection. This card is geared towards beginner cardmakers, but could easily be elevated and adapted with more techniques and design elements. It offers warm colors, easy-to-create texture, and a fabulous birthday sentiment for every queen in your life! To start, trim a panel of Matte Metallic from the Treasured Cardstock: Gold Assorted Pack to 4” x 5.25”. We are going to emboss this panel with the Harlequin 3D embossing folder. The best plate sandwich that I have found for 3D embossing folders is Platform Base A, a 3D…

Step-by-Step Thinking of You Card with Spellbinders Upright Italic Everyday Sentiments
Hello crafty friends! It’s Lisa Tilson here with you today to create a flower-filled “Thinking of You” card. I am doing a step-by-step photo tutorial using the Upright Italic Thinking Of You Press + Foil Plate, which is one of three new sentiments in the Paul Antonio Upright Italic Everyday Sentiments Collection. These sentiments are sized perfectly for a variety of card sizes, and I am using it on an A2 card today. As this is a “Thinking of You” card, I have chosen to pair the sentiment with some flowers and have gone for a fairly muted, but I think still very pretty, colour palette. Thinking Of You For…

Step by Step Tutorial: Easy Card Making with Spellbinders Little Leaps Rub-Ons
Hi, friends! I’m Lauren Taylor Made, and I’m thrilled to be guest blogging today to share my excitement for the brand new Little Leaps rub-ons from Spellbinders! Rub-ons are one of my favorite ways to add detailed images and sentiments to a card with very little effort. They create a smooth, printed look without stamping, coloring, or dry time, and work beautifully on smooth surfaces like cardstock and patterned paper. To use them, you simply cut out the desired design, peel away the backing paper, place the image face down on your project, and rub firmly with the included popsicle stick until the artwork transfers. Once the carrier sheet is…

Classic Florals & Regal Details: Card Making with the Regal Reflections Collection
Hello Spellbinders Fans! It’s Amy Tsuruta, and I’m so happy to be back on the Spellbinders blog sharing these three cards featuring the Regal Reflections Collection. I did a bit of homework regarding the famous Staffordshire dog ceramic figures. They are from the early 17th century and started as gifts that could be purchased on the street from local artists. They were popular Victorian mantelpiece decorations inspired by Queen Victoria’s King Charles Spaniels. When these figures moved into canvas art, artists recreated their recognizable forms in still lifes and decorative paintings, reflecting their popularity as cherished household symbols, even though the originals were porcelain or earthenware rather than paintings. A…
