More Betterpress Christmas Inspiration
Hey friends! I’m Mindy Eggen and I’m so excited to be on the Spellbinders blog today to share inspiration using the More BetterPress Christmas Collection. I have been looking forward to working with this collection and creating some stunning cards quickly and easily. One of my favorite things to do when working with BetterPress plates is creating backgrounds. I personally like to create the background first and then add the BetterPress design which is what I did for two of the three cards that I’m sharing today. The first way that I wanted to add color was by watercoloring a nighttime sky for the Seasons Greetings Evergreens. After the panel…

The Snow Garden Cards with Bonnie!
Hello, fellow cardmakers! Bonnie here from Bonniecarollee Makes Cards. As an avid gardener, I appreciate the beauty of the garden during all four seasons. In my region, the Winter garden is draped in snow with some of the evergreen foliage providing a muted backdrop. As the snow begins to fade, brave early bloomers like the crocus and glory of snow add little splashes of color. Winter gardens have a beauty all their own and these cards featuring THE SNOW GARDEN COLLECTION celebrate that! Hemlock, Cones & Chickadee A panel 4 1/4’ by 5 1/2” Bristol Smooth was ink blended with Distress Oxide Inks applying Unchartered Mariner in the center and…

More Masculine Cards Ideas with Toolbox Essentials
Hello, crafty friends! It’s Emily Leiphart here and I’m thrilled to be guesting on the Spellbinders blog, featuring the Toolbox Essentials Collection. When I create sets of cards with a common color theme, I always look at how many colors I would need, then choose my colors accordingly. Once colors are selected, I cut all of the pieces at the same time in every color, then sit down and glue them all together at once. This makes it easy to create several cards at one time with extras for later. If you’re like me and find it hard to make masculine cards, this new collection will make it easy to…

Playing with Postage Edge Shapes
Hello crafty friends! It’s Angela Tombari here, from I Need Confetti, and today I would like to show you what I created with the new Postage Edge Shapes dies by Becca Feeken. I focused on the different shapes of postage dies and created three projects: a DIY ornament and two cards, plus a bonus one that I’ll show you at the end of the post, so keep on reading. DIY Christmas Ornament The first project I would like to share is a fun one and very easy to make: a Christmas ornament made with Postage Edge Circles dies. I cut 6 different sizes of card-stock circles, alternating the circle dies.…

Celebrate the Season Inspiration with Michelle Short
Hello there, Michelle Short here to share some inspiration using the new Celebrate the Season Collection. This is a wonderful collection of dies, stamps, hot foil plates, and embossing folders perfect for the holiday season. WINTER SLED CARD For my first card, I started off by die-cutting the elements from Winter Welcome Sled. This set is so fun to put together! The sled can be used on its own but paired with the ice skates it makes for a fun winter card. I adhered the pieces of the sled and ice skates, first and adhered them together using Bearly Art Glue. The sled adhered to an A2 white card base…

Pattern Play with the Color Block Mini Shapes Collection
Hello fellow crafters. It’s Jean sharing A2-size cards created with the Color Block Mini Shapes Collection at Spellbinders. This collection, consisting of geometric die sets, can be used to craft for a variety of occasions. With the sets, countless patterns can be designed, whether simple or complicated. It’s fun to experiment with the shapes! Let’s look at the three cards I made with die sets in the collection. For my first card, I used the Color Block Mini Hexagons set, keeping the colors the same for the hexagons. Create card base: Create an A2-size card base covered with textured white cardstock. Cut a mat from red cardstock with the 4…

Reverse Foiling Ideas with Michelle Short and Essential Glimmer Solid Shapes Collection
Hello there, Michelle Short here with some inspiration using the new Essential Glimmer Solid Shapes Collection. This is such a fun collection as you get to use up all of your scraps after foiling. There are so many different designs that work with reverse foiling. I love that these are shapes, but you can also cut your own shapes too! I have used the circle, rectangle (in a slightly different way!), and square today but there is also an oval. I found that I got great results by heating up the Glimmer Hot Foil System platform twice and also using the hinge method for foiling – by taping down the…

Baby Card I thought the Venetian Wallpaper Stencil was so beautiful and would make the perfect background for this soft and pretty baby card.
