I am not sure about you but I love to give AND receive handmade gifts.  There is a part of yourself that gets permanently placed into a handmade gift for a loved one.  Whether it be the tissue paper rose your second grader gives you or a time consuming crocheted blanket from your mother (thanks Mom!) or a plate of cookies from a thoughtful neighbor.  These tokens of ourselves and our time leave lasting impacts on those we gift to.
