Four Petal Wonderful Tulips Foiling & Stenciling Step-by-Step
Hello there, Michelle Short here to share a step-by-step tutorial with you using the Wonderful Tulips Glimmer Hot Foil Plate & Die Set combined with the Wonderful Tulips Layered Stencils from the Four Petal Collection. STEP 1 Start off by cutting Champagne Glimmer Foil to size using Quick Trimmer. I like to have a bit of wiggle room around the foil plates but don’t want too much that can lead to over-foiling. Keep any little bits you cut off; they are perfect for sentiments! STEP 2 Take the Wonderful Tulips Glimmer Hot Foil Plate and prepare to foil onto white cardstock. I like to hold foiling plates down with Best…

You can use wax seals to seal your envelopes as well as making fun embellishments to add right to your cards. Let’s take a look! Metallic Embossed CAS Cards
Hi, it’s Mona Toth here, in this post I have an easy-peasy CAS card inspiration for you with Flurry of Snowflakes 3D embossing folder. If you need an elegant card for an occasion, this design is a very good choice and the result will be eye-catching with a luxury touch. The heart of this technique are 3 elements: a 3D embossing folder with pretty pattern, a high-weight cardstock and a high-quality mirror cardstock. I decided to use the Flurry of Snowflakes 3D Embossing Folder. First, I cut a piece of 5.5” by 4.25” cardstock from the Gold and Silver Mirror Cardstocks. I also cut 2 pieces of white heavy weight…

Butterfly Kisses: 3 Ways – Complicated to Simple by Joan Bardee
Hello and welcome! I’m Joan Bardee and today I’m featuring 3 cards using the Butterfly Kisses stamp and die set designed by the amazing Simon Hurley. I’ve got something for everyone here; the first card has lots of layers and colors; the second repeats 2 images; and the third is clean and simple. Used a lot of purple on these cards, which is a color that I rarely use – but butterflies just seem to work with it! Floral Frame Card Used Yana Smakula’s “perfect cardmaking formula” to design this card. This was a stretch for me as I usually make much simpler cards. Yana’s formula is to place a…

Anemone Blooms, a Trio of Cards
Hello crafty friends! It’s Jung here, and today, I’m sharing 3 cards that I made using the new Anemone Blooms collection by Yana Smakula. Yellow Foiled Anemones For my first card, I used the Anemone Glimmer Blooms as the focal point. First, I foiled the Anemone Glimmer Blooms hot foil plate on smooth white cardstock with polished brass foil. While my Glimmer machine was hot, I foiled all the sentiments from the Hello, Friend Sentiments as well as the Inside Card Glimmer Sentiments on smooth white cardstock with satin gold foil. Next, I used the coordinating die to die-cut the Anemone Blooms image, and then colored the image with Copic…

Birthday Basics 3 Ways with Jung AhSang
Hello crafty friends! It’s Jung here, and I am back with another guest post on the Spellbinders blog. For my projects today, I’m working with just one stamp set: the Birthday Basics stamp set from Simon Hurley, along with the coordinating dies. Birthday Cake Card For my first card, I used the birthday cake from the stamp set. I started out by stamping the image twice with black ink on white cardstock. I colored the first image with Copic markers, then used the coordinating die to cut it out. On the cake, I stamped the “Hope your day is as amazing as you are!” sentiment with Versamark ink, and heat…

Color with Cardstock – Anemone Blooms Cardmaking Ideas with Joan Bardee
I am delighted to share 3 ways (plus 2 bonus cards) to use the Anemone Blooms Collection, designed by the amazing Yana Smakula. Is it intimidating to use Yana’s products on a Spellbinders blog post? You bet it is, but here it goes anyway! I love big bold anything, so these flowers stole my heart. I wasn’t familiar with anemones and a quick online search revealed that they come in a huge variety of colors. So, use whatever colors you love; for me – pink is my first love. Hot Foiled Anemone Blooms If you are looking for maximum impact with minimal effort, just hot foil the Anemone Glimmer Blooms…

Inspired by the Sentiments in the Showered with Love Collection by Joan Bardee
Hello and welcome! I’m Joan Bardee and if you want to see what else I’m up to, you can find me on Instagram as Dear Paperlicious. Today I’m featuring 3 fun and colorful cards using products in the Showered with Love Collection designed by the super-talented Vicky Papaioannou. The design of each card was inspired by the sentiments in the I’ve Got You Covered Clear Stamp and Die set, which is part of this collection. The collection is full of clever open and closed umbrellas, weather symbols, flowers, a duck, etc. – all evoking spring. I took my cue from that season and used softer sherbet colors for each of…
