Open House Spring Card by Joy Baldwin
Hi crafty friends, my name is Joy Baldwin (aka Create It With Joy). I love making handmade cards and sharing them with you. If you want to check out more of my creations, head over to my blog. The Open House Collection is so cute and the Open House Spring Die is no exception. I used the flower on top of the door but, there is also a super cute bunny and balloon. I decided to go the classic route with this design. I went with black and white for the main colors. I die cut the door, window frames (from the Open House Door Base Die), and part of…

Hi there, this is Annie Williams and I’m excited to be back on the blog today to share a fun project using the new Open House Spring Collection from Spellbinders. The adorable bunny and floral accents in this new addition to the Open House Series inspired me to create a pretty springtime mini slimline card perfect for sending a sweet Easter hello. I couldn’t wait to put that cute little Easter bunny from the Open House Spring Die Set on a card, and pulled out some of the other Easter dies in my stash to create this soft Easter porch scene. Die-cut Barely Peach Cardstock using the largest die from…

Open the Door to Love – Two Takes with Open House Valentines
Hello fellow crafters. It’s Jean sharing two Valentines created with the Open House Valentines die set, part of the Love You More Collection. This die set expands the Open House Collection to include another holiday. Let’s look at how I decorated two doors for Valentine’s Day. For the first card, I started by choosing black foil cardstock for the door as a way for the red elements to pop. Create A-2 card base with patterned paper (example shows vellum added to paper to tone down the pattern). Add 5/8-inch strip of gray cardstock to base of card front. Die-cut door with the Open House Door Base set and side lights…

The cute, but spooky designs in this collection inspired me to create two fun cards perfect for sending a Halloween hello. Although the new Halloween additions to the Open House Collection can really be used on any kind of card, I find it hard to pass up creating another custom doorway! With a just few color changes and these fun new dies, I created an easy mini slimline haunted house card to send to my nephew who loves the spooky…

Hi there, this is Annie Williams and I’m thrilled to be back on the blog today to share a couple of projects using the new Fall Traditions Collection from Spellbinders. I combined large and small blooms together in warm colors on this simple and bright thank you card. Trim a piece of Alabaster Cardstock to 4.25” x 5.5”. Die cut…

Fall Traditions Collection Inspiration with Andrea Shell
Hello! It’s Andrea Shell (www.blissfullyscrappy.net) with you today, and I am delighted to be guesting for Spellbinders! I am so ready for fall and had a lovely time creating with the gorgeous Fall Traditions Collection whilst dreaming of cooler temps and warmer colors. The Fall Traditions Collection pairs beautifully with the Open House Collection released in July, so for my first card I’ve also used the Open House Door Base and Door Side Panel Die Sets. I backed the windows of the door and side panels with acetate and gray cardstock. For my background I trimmed white cardstock to a 5 1/2″ square and scored it to give the impression…

Open House Collection Inspiration with Sheri Holt
Hello! It’s Sheri here again from My Sheri Cards and I am so happy to be sharing 3 different versions I created using the Open House Door and add-on dies in the Open House Collection. All of these cards measure 4-1/4” x 5-1/2” but they are great on any size card. I usually work with patterned papers on my cards but I kept it simple this time. White Door Card Although the Open House Door Base die can be used all on its own, the add-on dies are must-haves! This card features the Open House Door Base in white in addition to the Open House Door Side Panels. The door…
