Clean and Simple Cards with Rub-On Transfers and Embossing Folders
Hello, crafty people! This is Jennifer Ingle here today, and I am so excited to be sharing these clean and simple designs with you. I created three SUPER simple cards with the absolutely gorgeous Little Leaps and Spring Blessings rub-on transfers from Spellbinders. The thing I love about rub-on transfers is that you can make stunning designs that really shine with very little work. Let me show you how! Each card is created using both the rub-on transfers and gorgeous embossing folder designs. Let’s walk through them! For this card, I used the Lined Circles Embossing Folder to create the background. I particularly love this embossing folder because you can…

Whenever I’m working with stamps and dies that are cute, I love creating little scenes that are full of personality. Let’s take a look at what I created! Little Details with the Little Smiles Collection
Hello crafters! Joan Bardee here sharing some cards made with The Little Smiles Collection. This Collection makes darling cards, particularly ones for babies and kids. It consists of 3 die sets, a BetterPress LetterPress sentiment and coordinating die set, and a 3D Embossing Folder and coordinating BetterPress Plate. I love to add little details to make my cards special. Add a few embellishments, an interesting layer or specialty paper, etc., and our cards no longer look like something you could purchase off a shelf. They become unique and special. BIRTHDAY GRID Isn’t this card adorable? I was inspired by this card that Yana Smakula shared a few months ago. (If…

Easy and Inky Cards with the Collaged Birds Collection
Hi there, this is Annie Williams and I’m excited to be back on the blog today to share a couple of fun cards made with the new Collaged Birds Collection by Dina Wakley. The beautiful BetterPress plates and versatile embossing folders in this collection inspired me to create three easy and inky cards for a variety of occasions. Hello Friend Card I love a good embossing folder and never hesitate to make it the star of the show. When I saw the Soaring 3D Embossing Folder, I knew I couldn’t cover up any of the gorgeous detail so I played with some inky techniques and added only minimal embellishments for…

Bold Minimalism with Justine’s Farm Collection
Hello crafters! Joan Bardee here. Today I’m using the fun and unique (check out the sentiments!!) Justine’s Farm Collection to explore a design trend called Bold Minimalism. Before we discuss Bold Minimalism, let’s review the Collection. It includes 5 sets of BetterPress LetterPress plates and dies that have farm animal themes – a farmscape, cow, sheep, rooster/hen, and pig. These sketched animals lend themselves beautifully to water coloring or using alcohol markers or colored pencils. But coloring is not my thing, and since I’ve been interested in exploring Bold Minimalism, I decided to experiment. Could I use sketched earthy images in a bold, minimalistic way? Let’s see! What is Bold…
