Yana’s Poppies with Emily Midgett
Hi friends! Emily Midgett here with you today from Sixth Street Sundries, and I had the distinct pleasure of playing with goodies from Yana Smakula’s new floral collection called Yana’s Poppies. I have been such a fan of Yana’s work for such a long time, so it is always a privilege to play with products that she has curated. I know that poppies are traditionally red, but I am always up for making things fit my own style, and I know that Himalayan Blue poppies do in fact exist, so I decided to make a trio of projects inspired by those unique flowers! Gilded Blooms: Crafting Floral Cards with Elegance
Hi there my Spellbinders’ friends! My name is Jaycee Gaspar and I’m so excited to share three cards featuring Yana’s Poppies by Yana Smakula. This collection features gorgeous poppy images in Yana’s signature die-cut outline style. Ever since I saw Yana’s Anemone Blooms, I have been hooked by the distinguished look. Up first, I used both the Yana’s Poppy die set and Poppy Background BetterPress Press Plate for this black and gold statement card. I used the…

Vintage Vibes With A Touch Of Clean & Simple
Hello there Spellbinders friends! It’s Lisa Tilson here with you today on the Spellbinders blog. I’m excited to be here to show you some ideas using the oh-so-pretty Yana’s Poppies Collection. This collection is small but nonetheless gorgeous for it. It contains a background press plate, a layering stencil set, and a set of etched dies. The stencil layering set works in conjunction with the press plate and is a quick and simple way of adding beautiful color to your projects. Thanks For my first card, I am using the Poppy Background Press Plate and the Layered Poppy Background Stencils. Instead of pressing my plate, I thought I would foil…

Can Poppies Be Blue?
Hello there, Michelle Short here and I am delighted to be back on the Spellbinders blog today sharing three projects using Yana’s Poppies Collection. This beautiful collection features a poppy die, as well as a poppy background press plate (with or without a coordinating stencil). Poppies are generally red in color, maybe yellow or orange, but blue is quite rare. I did, however, base mine off the Himalayan blue poppy, which I think is absolutely beautiful! HAPPY BIRTHDAY WISHES For my first card, I am using the Poppy Background Press Plate. This is such a stunning background! You can color the poppies with lots of different coloring mediums or use…
