Foiled Fall and Halloween Cards with Kaja
Hi there, it’s Kaja from Kajcyika crafts and today I will show you two cards which both have foil as the main element but use different techniques that go along with it. These two cards both use the products from the brand-new Fall/Halloween collection! Foiled Happy Halloween Card First, let’s take a look at the first card. On this card I combined foiling with ink blending. I started by creating the background. I knew that I wanted a Halloween look, so I decided to go with purple color with deep black corners. I added ink to the top portion only, leaving the bottom and the center of the card light.…

Video Friday | Inking White Die Cuts Ocean Scene Card with Nichol
Hello everyone. This is Nichol Spohr and I’m thrilled to be here today with this under the sea scene card featuring inking all white die cuts. Adding color to all white die cuts and a background is one of the easiest ways to customize a design to fit whatever color scheme you want for a card! These Sea Animals and Sea Life Accents are the perfect focal point for the matching inked and stenciled underwater background! Classics March Collection Inspiration | More Simple Card Ideas with Marge
Hello, there! It’s Marge here with you today again. Have you enjoyed my previous posts for Spellbinders New Classics March Collection? As the third theme for this week, I’m going to share how to use die cut layering to create dimensions on your card. Here are the examples that I made geometric blossoms using various nested circle-shaped dies. By doing this, you can also build up your favorite color palette on the card. To begin the first card, I made various sizes of die cuts out of several colors of papers using Fancy Scallop Edge Circles Dies. I gave them color gradation from yellow to orange and brown by selecting…

Classics March Inspiration | Colorful Floral Card with Kaja
Hi there, it’s Kaja from Kajcyika crafts here with you today and I am back at Spellbinders blog as a guest designer for this week. As I’ve already mentioned in the first project I shared this week, I am using dies from a brand new Classics March release on all of the cards I share with you here. When I saw the Fancy Edged Circles I immediately thought that the smallest die reminders me of a flower, so I went with it and made a card filled with flowers. I started by die cutting the smallest scalloped circle from 5 different colors of card stock and I made 4 flowers…

Classics March Collection Inspiration | Dry Embossed Cards with Marge
Hello, there! It’s Marge here again with gorgeous New Classics March Collection. Today I’m going to share how to make patterned backgrounds using dry embossing technique. Since all the dies in Classics March Collection are nested dies, with different patterns on frames one by one in a set, they are just perfect for making interesting patterns all together. So here are my cards for today. To begin, I cut a white card stock using the largest frame die in the Fancy Edged Rectangles Dies set, then I placed all other smaller dies on it one by one, put a piece of masking tape on them to keep them from moving…
