Cuppa Coffee, Cuppa Tea Inspiration | Coffee Woman Card with Melissa Phillips
Hello again! Melissa Phillips joining you today with another card created with the darling, new die collection from Sharon Sowell, the Cuppa Coffee, Cuppa Tea Collection. I am smitten! You can catch my first guest post featuring this collection here. This card uses the gorgeous Coffee Woman dies. I am in awe of the creativity of this beautiful set. I cut two of my Coffee Woman images, with the bottom layer cut from pink glitter cardstock, and the top layer cut from a soft grey. Instead of removing the cut outs from the die cuts on my glitter cardstock layer, I left them intact, so that the pink would show…

Cuppa Coffee, Cuppa Tea Inspiration | Stacked Coffee Cups Card with Melissa Phillips
Hello there! Melissa Phillips here sharing a card created with the cutest, new die collection from Sharon Sowell, the Cuppa Coffee, Cuppa Tea Collection. Prepare to fall head over heels for it! I was instantly drawn to the Tea Stack o’ Cups set and couldn’t wait to create my own custom teacups using fun patterned paper. I cut two teacups from both dies used, one for the top layer and one for the bottom layer, selecting coordinating colors and patterns. I used the tiny hearts die and the delicate flowers die to cut decorative designs from both teacups. I love this fun feature with this die set. I made sure…

3D Vignettes | From 3D to Flat & Fabulous
3D Vignettes is meant to be dimensional but there’s no rule saying you can’t go from 3D to Flat and Fabulous! Hi there friends, I’m Becca Feeken with Amazing Paper Grace – I designed the 3D Vignettes Collection and today I want to show you a background I created from taking two panels, snipping them and building them around a focal point. It’s always a delight to take a die meant for one thing and to use it for another. That’s the hook that makes me want to add it to my stash. If I know I can get extra uses from it, then it’s a good bet! The filigree detail on the…

Chantilly Lace | Quick and Elegant Gold Layering
There are a couple of card styles I default to when I need to make something quick – I begin with gold layering. I’m Becca Feeken with Amazing Paper Grace and today my card is both simple and elegant with two layered gold elements on a decorative background. It’s easy to put together and I’ll take you through the quick steps. Cream and gold are my signature colors and nothing looks more elegant than when it is coaxed into a grand layering style. If I’m ever stumped with card making, an easy classic formula with symmetry usually comes to mind and always seems to satisfy the occasion. Raised layers with the focal panel…

Let’s Get Squared Up – From Rectangle to Square Card
I always want to get the most out of my die templates, so I thought about taking a large rectangle card front and squaring it up to give it a different look. I’m Becca Feeken with Amazing Paper Grace and my card today takes a simple rectangle die, cuts it up and reassembles it as a square card. By doing that, I’ve kept my favorite parts of the die and have created a new look in the process. Last year one of the dies I introduced was the S6-112 Graceful Frame Maker. This die takes a panel of paper and miters it into four identical pieces. You want to do this with a symmetrical…

Hello, everyone! This is Yana Smakula and thank you for joining me! This blog post and video continues the monthly feature I’m hosting on Spellbinders blog and Youtube channel called “Shaped Cards with Spellbinders”. Once a month I am posting a card and and video tutorial featuring a shaped card base using Spellbinders dies! You can catch the first episode from this series HERE.
