(Almost!) One Layer Wonders
Hello there, Michelle Short here and I am delighted to be back on the Spellbinders blog sharing inspiration using the Glimmering Flowers collection. Today I have three cards to share that are (almost) one-layer cards. Whilst I love adding dimension on my cards, for mailing purposes, it is easier having less dimension! You can also use these dies without stitching, they still make beautiful projects! CHRISTMAS POINSETTIAS My first card uses the beautiful Stitched Poinsettia & Holly Etched Dies. I die-cut the poinsettias from Poppy Field Cardstock (both the stitching layer and back layer) and the holly from Peridot Cardstock. Since it also features mainly die cutting, I wanted to show how you can enhance die cuts by adding ink blending. This really adds interest and dimension to clean and simple cards! My first card uses Floral Stems Etched Dies. I cut the cone flower top petal layer from Snowdrift cardstock and the bottom ones from Purple Mist.
