How To Create A Guitar Shaped Card
Hello there, Michelle Short here to share a step-by-step tutorial using the Majestic Guitar Etched Dies from Bibi’s Musical Notes Collection. This set creates a 7-inch-tall guitar that fits perfectly on an A7 card base. There is also an add-on die set for side panels, so that you can create a 3D guitar too, but for today, I thought it would be fun to create a guitar-shaped card! You can use any colour combination here, but purples are my favourite, so that’s what I went with! STEP 1 – DIE CUTTING THE GUITAR Die cut dies from Majestic Guitar: Cut pieces of cardstock slightly larger than the size of the…

You can dress up the ghosts with hats, glasses, ties, etc. – so cute! For today, I thought it would be fun to take the witch’s hat from the Bewitched set to add on to my ghost! STEP 1 – DIE-CUTTING THE GHOST + WITCH’S HAT Cut pieces of cardstock slightly larger than the size of the dies. Place the main body of the ghost from Boo Crew onto Classic White ColorWheel Cardstock and hold in place with Best Ever Craft Tape. Place bottom…

Hi there, crafty friends! I’m Rebecca Keppel, and spooky season is the next big celebration this year! The Boo Crew Etched Dies from Spellbinders Spooktacular Collection by Simon Hurley is a fun die set that creates the cutest ghosts for a card with lots of spooky fun! Let’s make a card using all three ghosts! Die-cut each ghost from white cardstock. There is a die that cuts out shapes to use behind the ghost’s face to fill in their eyes and mouths. There are die sets for arms and lots of accessories, too. Cut the shape for behind the ghost face from Raven Cardstock. There is a layer for the ghost…

Step by Step: Country Barn Inspired Star Wreath Card
Hi there, crafty friends! I’m Rebecca Keppel, and I adore the new Country Christmas Collection designed by Annie Williams for Spellbinders. I am sharing a tutorial today on how to create a Christmas card with three different supplies from this collection. Starting with the Barn Star Wreath Etched Dies, die cut a full star with the outline die out of two colors of cardstock. I chose Waterfall Cardstock and some silver foil cardstock. Then place the decorative dies for each of the star points on top of one of the die-cut stars and hold them in place with Spellbinders Best Ever Craft Tape. Run that star with all of its decorative…

Clean and Simple Cards Using the Field Notes Collection
Hello! Jen Kotas here today with three cards featuring the Field Notes Collection. This collection includes three die sets, two BetterPress sets, a stamp set and a 3D embossing folder. I kept my cards clean and simple today. The embossing folder adds a lovely texture and design to the background allowing the die cuts and images to shine. I did not have the stamp set to use so I pulled out the Holding Your Heart Sentiments BetterPress Plates and Die Set to use instead. When I first used this set I made lots of extras. Perfect for times like this! Emboss a 4 x 5 1/4” panel of Alabaster ColorWheel…

Add the Perfect Finishing Touch With Mini Wax Seals
Hello there, Michelle Short here and I am delighted to be back on the Spellbinders blog using the Mini Wax Seals collection. As the name suggests, these wax seals are much smaller in size that the previous ones and are oh-so cute! I think they are the perfect finishing touch for cards, tags, boxes and more! JUST A NOTE My first card uses two of the new Mini Wax Seals. I thought they would look great on mini envelopes. They are a little on the large size for the envelopes I used, but I still think they look great! To make this card: Die cut the envelope from Love Note…
