Birthday, Thank You & Graduation Cards Using Simon Hurley Sending Hugs Dies
Hello there, Michelle Short here, and I am delighted to be back on the Spellbinders blog sharing three cards using the Simon Hurley Sending Hugs collection. This wonderful collection is perfect for lots of different occasions, and what I love the most is that the die sets (bear, dog, and cat), are completely customizable. You can create multiple characters from just one die set! Whilst there are sentiment labels in the set for the characters to jump out from behind, I decided to use other sentiments for my cards today and have the characters jumping out of apertures instead. So fun! BIRTHDAY BEAR My first card uses Birthday Bear Etched…

How to Create Light Up Cards in an Easy Way
Hello there, Michelle Short here, and I am delighted to be back on the Spellbinders blog today, sharing two cards using the Pear Blossom Press One Light- 2 Pack. These lights make adding fun light-up elements to your cards easy. No circuits involved! The first thing to know when using these lights is that you do need to do a little forward planning for your card design. Since the light and switch are on the same piece, you need to work out where both will be placed on your card. MERRY + BRIGHT STAR I started off by die cutting the star (on my card panel) that I want lit…

I love all things BetterPress, so this collection has me so inspired. One of my favorite sets is the Merry, Merry, Merry Bird. You can easily use each of the images as the main focal point for a card design. I’ve captured all of them in my card. The scale of both the bird and the ornament…

How To Create A Guitar Shaped Card
Hello there, Michelle Short here to share a step-by-step tutorial using the Majestic Guitar Etched Dies from Bibi’s Musical Notes Collection. This set creates a 7-inch-tall guitar that fits perfectly on an A7 card base. There is also an add-on die set for side panels, so that you can create a 3D guitar too, but for today, I thought it would be fun to create a guitar-shaped card!
