Folk Art Inspiration | Nordic Wreath with Emily
Hi, everyone! It’sย Emily Leiphartย here again with another guest designer post featuring the newย Folk Art Collection by Lene Lok.ย Today, I used theย Nordic Bloomsย andย Nordicย Floralย dies to create an oval wreath.
I used five of the six flowers fromย Nordic Blooms set to create the main elements of the wreath. I die cut two to three of each flower and arranged them on a mock layout. Then I used daubers and distress inks to colour the flowers.
The tiny green leaves were cut from the leaves of one of the flowers from theย Nordicย Floralย set. All of the vellum leaves are from the foliage dies fromย Nordic Blooms. I tucked both the green leaves and vellum leaves between the flowers to create dimension and add visual interest.
Before adhering the wreath, I used coordinating distress inks to sponge around the base of the card. Then I heat embossed the sweet sentiment on to the white linen panel.
