Taking the Sleek Beveled Sentiments and Making them Grungy
Hi friends! Cassie Trask here to share a few cards! Nothing gives quite the wow factor that a 3D Embossing folder, but I want to show you how I used the beautiful, sleek and simple 3D Beveled Sentiments A2 Cardfronts to make these fall-inspired grungy cards. I’m all about the clean-cut look of cards, but every once in a while I like to challenge myself to step outside of my usual card. Today was the day to do it! Beveled Hello A2 Cardfront Grab your favorite distress inks and using the Beveled Hello A2 Cardfront 3D Embossing Folder, rub those inks onto the inside of the embossing folder, the side…

Emboss Like A Boss and Add Pretty Floral Accents
Hello there, Lisa Tilson here with you today on the Spellbinders blog. I’m so excited to share three ideas using the Beveled Sentiments A2 Cardfronts Collection. There are four 3D embossing folders in this release – Happy Birthday, Thanks, Hello, and A Gift For You. I really like the crisp, clean, and modern style of these folders. As the sentiments are big and bold, they take centre stage and look great even with just some simple ink blending but I went a slightly different way with my cards today. From Me To You My first card uses the Beveled Hello A2 Cardfront 3D Embossing Folder and I decorated it with…

Adding Quick Color to Beveled Sentiments A2 Card Fronts
Hello! Jen Kotas here today with three cards featuring the Beveled Sentiments A2 Card Fronts 3D Embossing Folders. These sentiments fill almost the entire card panel and there are so many amazing techniques you can use. I helped my card along by starting with light-colored cardstock and layering up two different ink colors to make these sentiments stand out. I only had blending brushes to use on these cards. I bet they’ll look beautiful blended with foam as well. Emboss a light color of cardstock using the Beveled Hello A2 Cardfront, Beveled Thanks A2 Cardfront and Beveled Happy Birthday A2 Cardfront. I used light blue, light purple and light pink…

Using a Single Color Palette to Create Three Cards!
Hi crafty friends! It’s Cassie Trask back with another blog post where I’m going to share a few cards using the new Falling Leaves Collection. It may be in the 90s here in South Georgia, but I am very ready for Fall, and a Fall color palette is where it’s at! A Rainy Fall Background Fall often brings about some rain, which is why I like this Autumn Rain BetterPress Plate. It’s such a pretty plate that gives you the opportunity to use lots of color especially when you use the Layered Autumn Rain Stencil. For all of my cards I brought in the Thanks Enclosed Sentiments dies, because they…

Adding Dimension to your Fall Projects
Hi Spellbinders fans. Alanna Moses from EmbellishCraftLove.com and I am very excited to be guesting on the Spellbinders blog today. Today, I am working with the Falling Leaves collection. For my first card, I started by taking the Autumn Rain BetterPress and Stencil Bundle and used my BetterPress machine to ink up the press plate. I used the Opal Blush Shimmer Interference Ink Pad from Lisa Horton Crafts. I then used the coordinating stencils to color the umbrellas and leaves. I trimmed…

Setting the Stage with Your Card Backgrounds
Hello, crafty friends! I’m Adrienne Boese, better known as Alice Scraps Wonderland online. The Birthday Bash collection from Simon Hurley has several fun embossing folders, so for this set of cards, I wanted to create three different backgrounds using the embossing folders. The goal with each of these embossed backgrounds is to set the stage for all of the other elements on the card. I’ll be taking you from the simplest to the most complex embossing folder uses, but along the way, I’ll be giving you my design tips to create balanced cards that impress! Die Cut Balloons Card The simplest form of creating a background with an embossing folder…
