Using Specialty Papers with Love on the Rocks
Hello crafters! Joan Bardee here and I’m excited to share with you the fantastic Love on the Rocks Collection. The collection consists of a gorgeous floral BetterPress Letterpress cover plate, a sentiment set, and one die set that focuses on a cut glass with ice cubes, hearts and strawberries. The collection is perfect for Valentine’s Day or any occasion where you want to send some love. The 3 cards I’m sharing today each use one of the many Spellbinders specialty papers. I’ve had these for quite some time and decided it was time to play with them. Two of my cards use specialty papers over the entire card front, and…

Valentine Celebrations with Love on the Rocks
Hey there, crafty friends! Marie here again from Marie Nicole Designs. I’m having fun creating with this new collection, Love On The Rocks. The little tumbler and embellishments are so fun to mix and match with the sentiments for some sweet Valentine’s cards! I’m also a huge fan of the Better Press plate, My Heart Beats for You. It’s a gorgeous floral design with the heart in the middle that works well for not only a card in itself but as a background which is what I did with today’s cards! My first card features the little tumbler from the Love on the Rocks die set as a shaker. I…

A Trio of Birthdays
Hello there, Michelle Short here and I am delighted to be back on the Spellbinders blog today sharing three cards using the Florals Through the Year Collection. This collection is designed to be used to create a DIY calendar but as you will see from my projects, you can use the floral plates on their own for cards (and anything else!) too! SNOWDROPS For my first card, I used the beautiful January Snowdrops. Since snowdrops are winter flowers, I wanted to give a slight winter feel to the card with a little snowfall! To make this card: Place January Snowdrop Press Plate onto the Chase of the BetterPress Letterpress System.…

Three Ways to Use Bold Color Mix Numbers
Hello! Jen Kotas is here today with three cards featuring the Color Mix Celebrations Collection. This collection features two BetterPress sets, one with large numbers and a die set with numbers that can cut out the BetterPress numbers or be used on their own. Separating the numbers worked for the 2025 card but with the other cards or most with fewer numbers, I think they look great when overlapped. I also enjoyed placing one higher than the other. On Porcelain BetterPress A2 Cotton Card, impress first number from Bold Color Mix Numbers Press Plates with Cosmic BetterPress Ink. Do not remove the number. Using the first number as a guide,…

Hello there Spellbinders friends! It’s Lisa Tilson here with you today on the Spellbinders blog. I’m so excited to be here as a guest and I am sharing three shaker cards using the fabulous Shaker Domes. I love to make shakers, so these cards were really fun to create and the Shaker Domes make it very easy to make them. There are five different-shaped domes in this collection; Arch, Stylish Oval, Emerald Cut, Fresh Picked and Hexi-Gem. They work with the coordinating die sets, so everything is super easy to put together! The dome itself is approx. 0.38” high so you have plenty of room to add different-sized shaker mixes…
