Watercolor Zodiac Cardmaking with Hot Foil Accents Using the Spellbinders Block Print Zodiacs Collection
Hello, crafty friends, I’m Isha, a designer who finds joy in creativity. Cardmaking is one of my creative escapes, and I especially enjoy playing with color using various mediums. Through my blog, I share not just finished cards, but also the process behind them. I was inspired to create with zodiacs because they celebrate personality and individuality, making each design feel personal and intentional. I love experimenting with different techniques, and zodiacs feel mysterious and ever-changing to me. That’s why I chose watercolors—no two results are ever the same, much like the zodiac itself. I added foil details on watercolor cardstock using my Glimmer machine to enhance that sense of…

I’m here to share a step-by-step tutorial using the In Bloom Egg Etched Dies from the Simon Hurley Happy Spring Collection. I am going to be doing one of my favourite techniques – die cut inlay. This is one of the first die-cutting techniques I was taught back when I started cardmaking many moons ago! It is still a favourite and often a go-to technique. It’s like doing a mini jigsaw, and I find it very therapeutic. Due to the nature of die cutting from several colours of cardstock, like…

Hello there, Michelle Short here, and I am delighted to be back on the Spellbinders blog sharing three cards using the Simon Hurley Sending Hugs collection. This wonderful collection is perfect for lots of different occasions, and what I love the most is that the die sets (bear, dog, and cat), are completely customizable. You can create multiple characters from just one die set! Whilst there are sentiment labels in the set for the characters to jump out from behind, I decided to use other sentiments for my cards today and have the characters jumping out of apertures instead.
