This beautiful collection is like the name suggests, perfect for essentials! There are frames/layers, tags, backgrounds plus lots more! MERRY & BRIGHT For my first card, I wanted to show how you can utilise little die cuts on a card but for them to still be the focus. These trees are pretty small but absolutely adorable! I’m so thrilled to be here to share three ideas for some merry and bright Christmas cards using the Essential Holiday Collection by Lisa Horton. This is such a fun and festive collection which includes dies (including a tag set) and press plates perfect for all your holiday projects. A Christmas Dance
Hello there, Michelle Short here and I am delighted to be back on the Spellbinders blog today sharing three projects using the Dancin’ Christmas Friends Collection. This fabulous collection features characters that are made so that their legs move, or dance, which is super fun! A GIFT FOR YOU For my first card, I am using the Dancin’ Gnome Etched Dies. This die creates a gnome that is almost 6” tall, so I opted for a mini slimline card, to get the full effect of his dancing legs! To make this card: Die cut Dancin’ Gnome Etched Dies from Snowdrift, Bearly Peach, Teal Topaz, Waterfall, Poppy Field, and Silver Assortment…

A Collection for All Seasons
Hello there, Michelle Short here and I am delighted to be back on the Spellbinders blog today sharing three projects using Nichol’s Needlework Collection. This collection features lots of dies that can be used to create faux embroidery. If you are not into embroidery and sewing, a lot of the dies can be used without the needlework elements as well and I have one project showing that today. This collection is already very versatile but even better is that it can be used for so many occasions – everyday, Halloween, fall, autumn, Christmas and the holidays … plus lots more! CHRISTMAS MAGIC For my first card, I created a Christmas…

Peacock Paradise Cards
This is a great collection of peacock-related patterns with BetterPress Plates, Die Sets, 3D Embossing Folders created by Dawn Bibby. I created many cards which I demonstrate in my YouTube channel, Angela Brennan Creations, but I showcase three cards below and explain how I create these three cards. For a Special Friend Ink blend card panel with Distress Ink Peacock Feathers and Salvaged Patina. Before inserting inked card panel into 3D Embossing Folder, Peacock Motif, spritz back of inked panel with fine spray of water to soften card fibres to minimize the cracking of the card. Tip: (1) Use correct ‘sandwich’ for 3D Embossing Folder as recommended by manufacturer of…

Beautiful Butterflies As Accents and Focal Points on Cards
Hi there, this is Annie Williams and I’m thrilled to be back on the blog today to share a couple of simple and pretty cards incorporating the beautiful butterfly stickers in the new Timeless Collection from Spellbinders. These shimmery, three-dimensional stickers are perfect for adding easy and dynamic accents or focal points to an otherwise ordinary card project. Fluttering Thinking of You Card If you want to give your butterfly stickers the look of movement, it’s easiest to create a fluttering path of these beauties on a larger card such as a 5” x 7” or slimline card. Here I added three brightly colored butterflies from the Summer Day Sticker…

(Almost!) One Layer Wonders
Hello there, Michelle Short here and I am delighted to be back on the Spellbinders blog sharing inspiration using the Glimmering Flowers collection. Today I have three cards to share that are (almost) one-layer cards. Whilst I love adding dimension on my cards, for mailing purposes, it is easier having less dimension! GET WELL SOON For my first card, I wanted to create a shaped card. I find that shaped cards add more interest to clean and simple cards. To make this card: I took a panel of white cardstock and placed a piece of Silver Foil shiny side up on top. I placed the Glimmering Buttercups Glimmer Plate on…

Make Sentiments the Star!
Hello there, Michelle Short here and I am delighted to be back on the Spellbinders blog using the Copperplate Everyday Sentiments collection by Paul Antonio. These beautiful sentiments really pack a punch and are perfect to be the focal point on a card! THANK YOU Whilst I did cover up some of the flourish in the ‘Y’ on this card, I really love the simplicity of this card design. I think it makes the sentiment the star of the show! To make this card: I placed the Copperplate Thank You Press Plate onto the chase of the BetterPress Letterpress System. I added a Porcelain BetterPress A2 Cotton Card Panel on the…
