Rocky Dancin’ Yeti, Monster Friends
Hello Crafty Friends, Heejung Hunsberger here! I’m thrilled to be returning as a guest designer for Spellbinders this month again! If you’d like to get to know me better, visit my blog or follow me on Instagram. Additionally, I have a YouTube channel where I regularly post video tutorials. I absolutely love the Monster Friends Collection, and this month, there’s a new release featuring a die set called “Rocky Dancin’ Yeti.” I created three cards using the Rocky Dancin’ Yeti die, coordinating it with other collections. A Reindeer Yeti I created a yeti with a custom reindeer design. First, I created the background by using two-toned gray ink to press…

Christmas Cards with Simon Hurley Timeless Trees Collection
Hello crafty friends! It’s Rachel Alvarado from RachelAlvaradoDesigns.com. I am thrilled to be back on the Spellbinders Blog today sharing some cards that feature products from the beautiful new Simon Hurley Timeless Trees Collection. I immediately fell in love with this collection at first sight! My first card showcases the new Classic Christmas Tree Die Set combined with the gorgeous Branches 3D Embossing Folder. To assemble my tree, I first die-cut all my pieces from a variety of colored card stock. I used two shades of green card stock for my tree, making sure to use the darker green for my background piece. To add some shading, I lightly blended…

The first card has a rustic feel, the second is more modern and the third is definitely traditional. Inspiration can be found everywhere! Emboss a 4 x 5 1/4” piece of white cardstock with the Bark 3D Embossing Folder. Gently run a gray ink pad over panel. Pink & Black for Christmas?
Hello there, Michelle Short here and I am delighted to be back on the Spellbinders blog using the Amaryllis Christmas Collection by Yana Smakula. This beautiful collection features amaryllis, poinsettias and sentiments – all perfect for the holidays. CHRISTMAS CHEER For my first card, I wanted to use Yana’s Amaryllis Etched Dies. This set is great as you have the flower and stem as one die and then separate dies for the leaves and shadow pieces. I like that you can customise it as you wish! To make this card: Cut Yana’s Amaryllis main die once from white cardstock, making sure not to put too much pressure on it, so…

Painted Christmas Florals with Amaryllis Christmas
Hey there, crafty friends! Marie here again from Marie Nicole Designs with three cards featuring the new collection, Amaryllis Christmas. The florals in this collection are absolutely stunning! Amaryllis flowers can come in a variety of shades but since I’m going with a Christmas theme, I chose some bold reds and golds for my cards. This collection has 3D embossing folders, Better Press plates, layered stencils, sentiments, and of course, the Amaryllis die that cuts out all the pieces for the gorgeous eye-catching flower. For my first card, I ran the 3D Embossing folder through my Platinum 6 with the correct plates to press the design into some smooth white…

Using Pattern Paper on Cards with the Oh Joyful Day Card Making Kit
Hello! Jen Kotas here today with three cards featuring the Oh Joyful Day Card Making Kit. The kit includes pattern paper, chipboard embellishments, a clear sticker pack and button embellishments. You could create all of your holiday cards with just this one kit! I used the pattern papers from Oh Joyful Day 6×6″ Designer Paper Pad on these cards as if they were solid or stamped cardstock. I’m not a frequent pattern paper user so keeping this in mind helped me use them on these three cards. I used two pieces of pattern paper with subtle patterns throughout to keep my card from being too busy. I then adhered pieces…
