Creating Eye-Catching Cards with Fine Tip Neon Pens
Hi there, this is Annie Williams and today I’m excited to share a couple of ways to add eye-popping color and the look of texture to backgrounds and die-cuts using Uchida Le Pen Neon Pens. Colors this bright can be a little intimidating to use on cards, but I promise you’ll have fun when you try it! I wanted a large canvas to play with the beautiful colors in the Uchida Le Pen Neon Pen set, so I started by applying Gold Hot Foil to white cardstock using the Geometric Flower Background Glimmer Plate. Then I colored the petals of the flowers using a flicking motion with the pens. Since…

I made three cards using the BetterPress system and three cards using the Hot Foil system. Better Pressed Cards Each Letter plate was printed using the BetterPress system with water-based color inks. I pressed the Floral E Plate onto the Bisque BP A2 Cotton Card panel using All That Jazz Ink and…

I love how easy this new system makes it to create gorgeous multi-colored pressed designs and I was inspired to create two colorful cards with a couple of added special touches. Foiled Floral Thank You Card The Thank You Blooms BetterPress Plate Set looks beautiful in different colors, but I wanted to add a touch of gold foiling to the design as well. Here I foiled the oversized sentiment in gold and added the flowers and leaves…

3 Expert Monochrome Techniques featuring Letter Pressed Cards
Hi there my Spellbinders’ friends! My name is Jaycee Gaspar and I’m so excited to share three cards featuring the Simon Hurley Spring Sampler Collection. This collection features three new crafting must-haves and Simon’s existing sentiment hot foil plates. Did you know you can use your BetterPress Press Plates in your hot foil machine? I loved using these new products to make three cards with spring themes. BetterPress Press Plates can be used in the Glimmer Hot Foil System in place of hot foil plates. This is a great way to stretch your products for other mediums if you have both the BetterPress and the Glimmer Hot Foil System. This does…

Here I inked them up in muted colors and created both a background and focal point for this easy sympathy card. Arrange the plates from the Flower Stems Press…

Mixing and Layering Wax Beads to Level Up Your Seals
Hey there! Daniel West, here, with some great tips on mixing and layering wax beads to take your seals to the next level. If we graded this tutorial for difficulty, I would say it ranks a 5 out of 10. I prefer this method of layering seals to coloring them with a marker because it makes for a very sharp and clear seal impression with contrast. It also is permanent and won’t wipe off with your finger. Later in January, I will have a YouTube tutorial on my channel. Instructions for layering waxes on seals: Warm your seal a bit over the flame of your votive candle or just let…

Simple and Sweet Love Cards with the House Mouse Winter Collection
Hi there, this is Annie Williams and I’m excited to be back on the blog today to share a couple of sweet love cards made with the new House Mouse Winter Collection. With such detailed and adorable images in this collection, you can keep the other elements of your card pretty simple and still create eye-catching projects! I started by stamping the image and one of the sentiments from the Snuggle Up Stamp Set onto white cardstock using black alcohol-friendly ink. After coloring the image with Copic markers, I fussy-cut it out with scissors and trimmed the sentiment out into a strip. To create the background, I trimmed a piece…
