I did a bit of homework regarding the famous Staffordshire dog ceramic figures. They are from the early 17th century and started as gifts that could be purchased on the street from local artists. They were popular Victorian mantelpiece decorations inspired by Queen Victoria’s King Charles Spaniels. When these figures moved into canvas art, artists recreated their recognizable forms in still lifes and decorative paintings, reflecting their popularity as cherished household symbols, even though the originals were porcelain or earthenware rather than paintings. Birthday, Thank You & Graduation Cards Using Simon Hurley Sending Hugs Dies
Hello there, Michelle Short here, and I am delighted to be back on the Spellbinders blog sharing three cards using the Simon Hurley Sending Hugs collection. This wonderful collection is perfect for lots of different occasions, and what I love the most is that the die sets (bear, dog, and cat), are completely customizable. You can create multiple characters from just one die set!
