Colorful Crafty Cards using the Crafty Babes Collection
Hello! Jen Kotas here today with three cards featuring the Simple Stories Crafty Babe Collection. There are two die set plus other papers, embellishments, and stickers. I focused on the dies for these cards but I couldn’t resist using some of the other products. I picked my color palette from the papers in the collection. All of my cardstock is from the new ColorWheel Cardstock, except one from Hero Arts Premium Cardstock. Die cut the pieces from Labels and Icons Etched Dies from the following ColorWheel Cardstock Colors: Raven, Alabaster, Teal Topaz, Seaside, and Beeswax. Cut heart from Hero Arts Ultra Pink cardstock. Cut icons from Raven twice. Using the…

Fun Dies and Crafty Babe Supplies Card
Hi there crafty friends! I’m Rebecca Keppel. Today I am sharing a step-by-step tutorial using some of the Crafty Babe dies and Simple Stories supplies to create a card. When working with papercrafting supplies, I like to choose a sentiment for my card first and build out the rest of the card around it. Here, I started by checking out the Crafty Babe Bits & Pieces cardstock die cuts and chose the “shine & sparkle” pieces. Next, I chose a piece of the 12×12 Crafty Babe patterned paper and cut it down to A2 (4.25×5.5”). I use my Color Swatch Petal Etched Dies swatch book of ColorWheel cardstock to find coordinating…

Let’s take a look at my first project: I used one of the icons from the Crafty Babe Die Bundle, also separately as Labels & Icons Etched Dies. I mounted it on a white rectangle to look like a Polaroid photo. I teamed it up with a journal card and stripe paper from the Simple Stories Crafty…

Kyoto’s Sakura Season
Hey Crafty Friends, it’s Amy Tsuruta, and I’m thrilled to be back on the Spellbinders blog featuring the gorgeous Spring in Kyoto Collection by Alex Syberia Designs. I am so excited for this collection. My favorite international vacation place is Japan. The food, the culture, and overall natural beauty is amazing. Spring in Japan is beautiful, especially if you can catch the cherry blossoms [sakura in Japanese]. My first card is almost an all white card, which is definitely a challenge to photograph. The Floral Fans 3D Embossing Folder is absolutely gorgeous. I used it with a BetterPress Porcelain card panel. The Cherry Blossoms BetterPress Plate & Die Set were…

The intricate die sets from this collection create such realistic vehicles, and I was inspired to mix them with some of my favorite masculine patterned papers to create three cards for the men in my life.
