Christmas Traditions Inspiration with Jennifer Kotas
Hello! My name Jen and I’m so happy to be on the Spellbinders blog today. I’ve got two cards and a tag/ornament to share with you, all made from the new Christmas Traditions Collection.
All of the hot foiling for the cards uses Aura Hot Foil Roll and all of the color was added with ink blending.
I hot foiled the Holiday Florals Background twice on white cardstock. It was cut to 4” x 5 1/4” and placed on an A2 card base with foam tape. The sentiment from the Essential Christmas Greetings was hot foiled then die cut with the second largest Nestabilities Classic Ovals LG Etched Dies. This along with the foiled and die cut Holiday Florals were added with foam squares.
I hot foiled the Diamonds Glimmer Plate once on a piece of white cardstock cut to 3 1/“ x 5 1/4”. I die cut the diamonds from the same set from the Christmas Traditions 6” x 6” Paper Pad and added them to the hot foiled diamonds with thin foam squares. I also added a small strip of pattern paper and gold cardstock to the edge. The sentiment was added with foam tape and the panel was then placed on an A2 card base with foam tape.
All the pieces from the Through the woods die set were cut out of white cardstock and colored with inks. I assembled the ornament, popping everything up with thin foam squares. I added glitter in certain places on the die cuts as well as on the entire sentiment. I added a bow and twine to hang it with.
The cards are very clean and simple and easy to recreate. Inking everything added a bit more flare than using colored cardstock but it’s not necessary. You can see more card making tutorials on my blog, Who Stole My Glitter or visit my Instagram page for more inspiration. Thanks for visiting!

I think you did a wonderful job with these projects. They just fill you up with the Christmas spirit and make you sing “Here comes Santa Claus”. But I have to admit there is something so special about the tag (tree ornament) that just makes me think of hot cocoa and sitting by a nice fire…it is my fav!
