Every Occasion Floral Alphabet Cards

Hello crafty friends, I am Heejung Hunsberger and I am thrilled to be returning this month as a guest designer for Spellbinders. If you want to know me better, visit my blog or Instagram. I also have a YouTube channel where I post a lot of video tutorials.

I enjoyed using the Every Occasion Floral Alphabet Collection. I created six different cards. I made three cards using the BetterPress system and three cards using the Hot Foil system.

Better Pressed Cards

Each Letter plate was printed using the BetterPress system with water-based color inks.

Every Occasion Floral Alphabet Collection Spellbinders, Floral E

I pressed the Floral E Plate onto the Bisque BP A2 Cotton Card panel using All That Jazz Ink and Black BP Ink. Then, I used the Essential Stylish Ovals die to cut out the pressed image. I also used the Infinity Punch & Pierce Die to cut Lagoon color cardstock for the background. Next, I colored the flower with markers and finished it with gold embellishments on the flowers.

Every Occasion Floral Alphabet Collection Spellbinders, Floral S

I pressed the Floral S Plate onto the Bisque BP A2 Cotton Card panel using Do-Shi-Do Ink and Black BP Ink. Then, I used the Essential Stylish Ovals die to cut out the pressed image. I also used the Infinity Punch & Pierce Die to Gold Mirror Cardstock for the background. I die-cut the indigo card stock with the essential Stylish Ovals die (the same size as the gold ovals), then embossed the paper with the Four Petal Floral 3D embossing folder.

Next, I colored the flower with markers and finished it with Gold Mix Essential Gems on the flowers to match the gold frame.

Every Occasion Floral Alphabet Collection Spellbinders, Floral Y

I pressed the Floral Y Plate onto the Bisque BP A2 Cotton Card panel using Juniper Mist Ink and Black BP Ink. Colored the flowers with markers.

I used the Essential Arches die to cut PurpleMist cardstock and then embossed it with the Stylized Trellis 3D Embossing Folder. Finally, I applied blended colors over the embossed panel, using blending brushes to create a beautiful design.

To make the frame stand out, I used two arch dies to cut mirror silver cardstock. I decorated the flowers with Crystal Mix Color essential gems, which added a touch of elegance to the overall look of the project.

“I used a hot foil to create these cards.”

I hot-foiled the Floral J plate with silver on plum-colored cardstock and then used the Essential Stylish Oval die to cut out the foiled letter. I colored the flowers on the plate with Acrylic markers from Altenew. Additionally, I used the Infinity Punch & Pierce Plate die to cut out shapes from purple mist cardstock and Mirror Silver cardstock. I decorated the flowers with Opal essential Gems.

Every Occasion Floral Alphabet Collection Spellbinders, Floral C

I used the Floral C plate and hot-foiled it with Gold foil on Indigo card stock. Then, I used the Essential Four Petal Labels die to cut out the foiled letter. I also colored the flowers with acrylic markers.

For the back panels, I die-cut the Scrolled Punch and Pierce plate die on white card stock and mirror gold card stock. Next, I attached the letter panel with foam stickers to give it a dimensional effect.

Lastly, I added the Spectrum AB color Essentials Gems on the flowers to finish the project.
