Four Petal Sweet Day Flowers 2 Ways

Hello crafty friends! It’s Rachel Alvarado from RachelAlvaradoDesigns.com. I have two projects to share with you today that feature the gorgeous new Four Petal Sweet Day Flowers stamp set.

Stamped Floral Card

For my first card, I created a bold floral card using the Four Petal Sweet Day Flowers Clear Stamp Set along with the new Essential Four Petal Labels Etched Dies.

To start my card, I first created my card base from a 4.25” x 11” piece of Snowdrift Card Stock.  I scored this piece at 5.5” along the long side and then used a rounded corner punch to give my edges a curved look.  Next, I die cut two pieces of card stock using dies from the Essential Four Petal Labels Etched Dies to use as my card layers.  One was cut from a piece of Teal Topaz Essentials Card Stock and the other from some Neenah Solar White 110lb Card Stock.

I then used my MISTI to stamp my floral image onto my white piece of card stock with some Memento Tuxedo Black Ink.  Next, I colored my image with Copic Markers, added a few white accents with a white gel pen, and stamped my sentiment to finish my card.

Copic Colors Used:

  • Pinks: RV00, RV52, RV55, RV66
  • Teals: G000, G00, BG13, BG49
  • Greens: YG01, YG06, YG17, YG67
  • Orange: YR01, YR04, YR18
  • Violet: BV01, BV02, BV04

Heat-Embossed Floral Card

For my second card, I created a simple mini-slimline heat-embossed floral card with an ombre ink-blended background.  I once again used Teal Topaz and Snow Drift Card Stock to layer my card base.  For my top piece, I used a piece of Waterfall Card Stock and blended it with Chipped Sapphire, Peacock Feathers, and Tumbled Glass Distress Oxide Inks.  I started with my darkest color at the lower left bottom portion of my card and blended toward the top right corner with my lightest color.  Next, I added some diluted white ink spatters for added interest.

Once my background was dry, I then heat embossed my floral image from the Four Petal Sweet Day Clear Stamp Set with some fine detail white embossing powder.  Lastly, I stamped my sentiment onto the top right corner of my card.

Thanks so much for taking the time to drop by!  I hope you enjoyed my cards today!  If you liked these cards and want some more inspiration, feel free to check out my INSTAGRAM page.
