The Sweetest Christmas Cards With House Mouse

Hello everyone! This is Jennifer Rustioni from @armieritagli! I’m so happy to be here again as a guest on the Spellbinders Blog! Today I share with you three cards I created featuring the new amazing House Mouse Christmas Collection! I’m in love with these super cute mice, especially in this Christmas mode!

MISTLETOE KISS

The first card I realized is featuring the lovely Mistletoe Kiss stamp set. I chose to work on a soft colored card stock to give a vintage feel to my project. I stamped the mice on a sage-green card stock with the Distress Ink Picket Fence. I colored them using Prismacolor Premier Colored Pencils and then I used a white gel pen for the highlights and for the details of the fur.

I realized a gold foiled banner with the main sentiment, using the Spellbinders Christmas Magic Glimmer Hot Foil Plate from the Tinsel Time Collection. Then, I added another banner with the secondary sentiment using the Dancin’ Holiday Sentiments Clear Stamp Set from the Tinsel Time Collection. At last, I matted my card with red cardstock.

NOEL

For my second project, I chose to use the Noel Stamp Set. I stamped the mice on the Neenah Desert Storm Card Stock with the Versamark Ink Pad. I did not emboss it, just used that ink to have a super no-line effect! I colored them using Copic Markers and then used a brown fineliner pen to realize the details of the fur.

I added the small berries and the highlights with a white gel pen and then realized the snowy floor using a white pastel pencil. At last, I matted the card with black card stock.

DRUMMER MICE

The last card I created is featuring the Drummer Mice Stamp Set. Once again, I chose to use a colored card stock as the base for my work, because I think that using a colored base give more depth and intensity to the work. I stamped the mice with the Distress Ink Picket Fence on a grey-blue card stock.

I colored them with Prismacolor Colored Pencils and then used again a brown fineliner pen to realize the details of the fur. I realized the highlights with a white gel pen and created the snowy floor with a white pastel pencil. I added two gold foiled banners with the sentiments using the Spellbinders Glitter Wishes Glimmer Hot Foil Plate & Die Set. At last, I matted the card with a kraft card stock.
