Hello crafty friends! Today, we are excited to share with you the fourth day of the 12 Days of Stitchmas Advent Calendar.  The new die set for today is the Noel sentiment die set. This die set includes four dies – an offset background, the main Noel sentiment, a stitchable bauble, and the ornament cap. With this die set, you can create beautiful statement holiday cards that are perfect for sending to your loved ones.

12 Days of Stitchmas Advent Calendar | Day 4 with Jaycee Gaspar

The first card has a mid-century modern and retro Christmas theme. I started by cutting out the offset background in brushed gold cardstock. Then, using the Noel sentiment die, I cut out the letters in different colors. I pieced each letter together and ran it through the die-cutting machine to refine the edges of the cardstock.

For the main stitchable element of this card, I used gold metallic thread that comes with the stitch-along add-on kit. I taped down the free end of the floss and stitched through the front and back, creating a radiating beam for the ornament. I then foam-mounted the stitched white bauble to the open O of the Noel sentiment.

To assemble the card, I used two panels of saffron cardstock to make a raised matted frame. I then foam-mounted the finished Noel stitched cardstock and added the berries and holly around the sentiment. I finished off the card with Spectrum AB gems for some added shine.

For my second card, I went for a modern and elegant look. I cut out the offset background in white cardstock and the main Noel sentiment in brushed gold. I created my stitched bauble using the same gold metallic thread and white cardstock as the first card.

Next, I used the Winter Bough hot foil plate to create a cascading arrangement on a panel of white cardstock. I foam-mounted the Noel stitched focal element off-center to make room for an additional sentiment. I used the Mini Christmas Sentiment Strips foil plate and die set to add even more shine to the card front and balance the curving edges with a linear element. I finished the card with Gold Mix Color Essentials Gems.

I hope you enjoyed Day 4 of the 12 Days of Stitchmas Advent Calendar. I can’t wait for you to see what Spellbinders has for Day 5.  Happy Crafting!
