Three Sweet Birthday Cake Cards
Heejung Hunsberger here! I’m thrilled to be returning as a guest designer for Spellbinders this month again! If you’d like to get to know me better, visit my blog or follow me on Instagram. Additionally, I have a YouTube channel where I regularly post video tutorials. I created three birthday cards featuring the Bougie Birthday Collection, using glitter paper and brushed card stock. Macaron Chocolate Cover Cake Card First, I embossed the Born to Sparkle 3D Embossing Folder from the Bougie Birthday Collection onto the rose gold brushed cardstock. To create the cake, I die-cut the Timber and Latte colored cardstock with the Ganache Gâteau Die. I die-cut the bottom…

Cocktails Throughout the Year With The Happy Hour Collection
Hello! Jen Kotas here today sharing three cards featuring the new Happy Hour Collection. There are two glass styles and accessories for Halloween, Christmas or tropical drinks. It also includes rectangle dies with a lovely little detail at the edges. This collection is wonderfully versatile! When I receive sentiment plates, whether glimmer plates or press plates, I create all the sentiments in various colors of ink and/or hot foil. It’s a great time saver! Even though I didn’t do it here, you can use the Layered Classy Glasses Stencils when you hot foil the Classy Glasses Press Plate as well. Hot foil the Classy Glasses Press Plate with Aura Hot…

Happy Haunting
Hello! Jen Kotas is here today with three cards featuring the Happy Haunting Collection. I love making cute spooky cards and they don’t have to be just for Halloween. To create the dots with wax beads simply drop a small amount onto the silicone mat. It’s a great way to use up any extra melted wax on the spoon! Blend purple ink on a piece of Porcelain BetterPress A2 Card then impress with Spider Web Background Press Plate with the same ink. Adhere to an A2 card base. Die cut the image from Woof-or-Treat Etched Dies and assemble with liquid glue. Adhere to the card with foam tape. Create sentiment…

Interactive Christmas Cards
Hello! Jen Kotas is here today with three cards featuring the Dancin’ Christmas Friends Collection. Interactive cards are so fun to make and dancing characters make it so easy! One of my cards features embossing with a press plate. To do this, follow the instructions for embossing an etched die found on the Platform Base of the Universal Plate System. Die cut the Dancin’ Moose Klondike, Dancin’ Gnome Alfie, and Dancin’ Douglas Etched Dies from various colors of cardstock and specialty papers. Assemble the die cuts using liquid glue but don’t adhere the legs to the body. Dry emboss a background for each character. I used Holiday Lights 3D Embossing…

Can Poppies Be Blue?
Hello there, Michelle Short here and I am delighted to be back on the Spellbinders blog today sharing three projects using Yana’s Poppies Collection. This beautiful collection features a poppy die, as well as a poppy background press plate (with or without a coordinating stencil). Poppies are generally red in color, maybe yellow or orange, but blue is quite rare. I did, however, base mine off the Himalayan blue poppy, which I think is absolutely beautiful! HAPPY BIRTHDAY WISHES For my first card, I am using the Poppy Background Press Plate. This is such a stunning background! You can color the poppies with lots of different coloring mediums or use…

Creating Christmas Cheer with the Cats and Pugs Collection
The holiday cardmaking season is upon us, and what better way to celebrate than with handmade cards featuring adorable pugs and cats? This is Jean Manis and I’m excited to share three Christmas cards I created with die sets in the Spellbinders Cats and Pugs Collection by Bibi Cameron. Let’s dive into the details, and I’ll provide tips and tricks for working with these sets. These intricate sets are like jigsaw puzzles; they require careful planning, cutting, and assembly, but the results are truly rewarding. Before cutting, I recommend printing out the die set parts image from the product page. This allows you to make notes and identify parts as…
