How to Use a 3D Embossing Folder: Magical Fuchsia Card Tutorial
Hello there, Michelle Short here to share a step-by-step tutorial with you using the Magical Fuchsia 3D Embossing Folder from the Magical Fuchsia collection by Alex Syberia. The embossing folder coordinates with the press plate and stencil set, but for today’s card, I wanted to show that it can be used on its own, too. EMBOSSING THE IMAGE Cut Violet ColorWheel Cardstock into a 4.25” x 5.5” panel. Using the Mighty Mister Spray Bottle, mist water onto both sides of the panel. TIP: Misting the cardstock with water helps to soften the fibres of the cardstock and helps to prevent cracking. Place inside Magical Fuchsia 3D Embossing Folder. Run through…

Step by Step Tutorial: Easy Card Making with Spellbinders Little Leaps Rub-Ons
Hi, friends! I’m Lauren Taylor Made, and I’m thrilled to be guest blogging today to share my excitement for the brand new Little Leaps rub-ons from Spellbinders! Rub-ons are one of my favorite ways to add detailed images and sentiments to a card with very little effort. They create a smooth, printed look without stamping, coloring, or dry time, and work beautifully on smooth surfaces like cardstock and patterned paper. To use them, you simply cut out the desired design, peel away the backing paper, place the image face down on your project, and rub firmly with the included popsicle stick until the artwork transfers. Once the carrier sheet is…

Welcome back to the Spellbinders blog. Joan Bardee here sharing 3 Christmas cards with products from Yana Smakula’s spectacular Yana City Holiday Collection. Each product in the collection is a keeper – from a detailed city house front to Christmas crackers, a bold (and so clever) joy die, and a gorgeous BetterPress Letterpress holiday registration plate set. And don’t forget the sentiments! This collection, while full of modern details, sent me back in time. As soon as I saw City Holiday Etched Dies, I thought of the times I’ve been in Manhattan at Christmastime (magical) and the Christmas carol, Silver Bells, with its beautiful refrain … It’s Christmas time in…

Step by Step: Country Barn Inspired Star Wreath Card
Hi there, crafty friends! I’m Rebecca Keppel, and I adore the new Country Christmas Collection designed by Annie Williams for Spellbinders. I am sharing a tutorial today on how to create a Christmas card with three different supplies from this collection. Starting with the Barn Star Wreath Etched Dies, die cut a full star with the outline die out of two colors of cardstock. I chose Waterfall Cardstock and some silver foil cardstock. Then place the decorative dies for each of the star points on top of one of the die-cut stars and hold them in place with Spellbinders Best Ever Craft Tape. Run that star with all of its decorative…

Step by Step Tutorial: Multicolor BetterPress Cards Made Easy
Hi there crafty friends! I’m Rebecca Keppel and today I am sharing the simplest way to create a multicolor BetterPress card using the Spellbinders Flourishing Betterpress Plates with a Registration Template. If you’ve never used a Spellbinders Registration template, don’t worry! I’ll share all the steps you need to follow, but essentially, the Registration template is an acetate sheet marked with each of the plates from the set. You will run the plates through in various passes and each pass is designated by a separate color on the acetate. So the first step is to tape the acetate to the BetterPress Chase (which is the magnetic platform that will hold the press…

This collection is designed to be used to create a DIY calendar but as you will see from my projects, you can use the floral plates on their own for cards (and anything else!) too! SNOWDROPS For my first card, I used the beautiful January Snowdrops. Since snowdrops are winter flowers, I wanted to give a slight winter feel to the card with a little snowfall!
